Have a breakfast buffet. You'll have them fighting to get in! You can have scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, breakfast steak, English muffins, french toast, sausages, omelette's, juices, coffee, tea and local favorites. Talk a well-known, popular, local chef into helping with the planning and preparation as a charity event. Have fun with it, like calling it "Tahitian Holidays" and everyone working it has to wear a grass skirt and vacation-themed shirt or something similar.

How about a silent auction? You get friends and family to donate items they no longer want (old toys/books/paintings) or make stuff (gift baskets, blankets, whatever!) and then you lay it all out on a table, set an asking price, and let people make bids. Highest bidder wins and money goes to your fund raiser!

Rent out your time - people "donate" money in exchange for you walking their dog or mowing their lawn or reading to the elderly or tutoring their child after school or if you can drive, running an errand or two.

Hope you raise tons for your cause!

I think getting all ages of people involved in a fundraiser. Alot of time if we start teaching our little ones to share and give our hearts will be more open. I think You should try getting the elderly people in helping the school age kids. and even daycare. selling flowers or maybe even holding a big square dance for the older ones and maybe for the kids a sock hop My son die of Fanconia Anemia if that is something you might whant to give to Thanks

maybe these will help.
Go around to your local grocery stores and ask for them to donate items for a bake sale. Most will because it is just a tax write off. Have a get-together and bake with donated ingredients(Most stores will let you submitt a list of needed items) then all the proceeds go toward your cause.
Also, big chain stores (walmart, ect...) if asked will donate or raffle of items for your cause.

Good luck.
