okay... thank you for your time but i would like to ask something.... have you ever recieved emails about unknown people and their illness or sickness? and they are asking you to post it or forward that email so that they would recieve an amount of money per email sent? is it true? i just want to know and clear things out... im not being cold or mean but i would like to know if people are wasting their time, or benefiting from it? and if its true, how would they (the people who gives them money) count the emails sent to everyone around the globe? and if they are willing to give allot, why hassle with time by waiting for people to send when the $$ can be given in a fixed amount in a single shot? thank you!

anywhere else. I don't want any other zip codes... I don't have the transportation to go and come and I need somewhere close to where I live - I need to complete 10 hours which might take me a few days.

I tired volunteermatch.org - but I couldn't find any in exactly my zip code - they're all these other zip codes 5-20 miles away.

HELP!!! I want to do this and get it over with on Christmas break, which I just started today because I don't celebrate Christmas and this is the perfect time - I'm super busy with HW on school days. My credit hours are due on March 23, 2006 btw.

THANK YOU ALL!

My organization will be giving away free dresses to high school girls who cannot afford a prom dress. This event will happen in March 2007, I would like to know which department stores are known to get involved in the community. They can even be dresses from last fashion season.

All we are asking for is clean and good condition items that these young girls will apperciate.

Thank you

I don't have any children, but have always wondered about what qualifies a person for Toys for Tots. I am always leary of donating to any organization because I think there are a lot of able bodied people that just are lazy and expect others to just give them everything. It seems that way in my area anyways. I used to work with a young mom that would brag about not having to shop due to the free toys from Toys for tots. I drive by the warehouse where they are giving them away and there are hundreds of people in line.

What does one have to do to apply and qualify for gifts?

Is there a limit to how many toys they can take?

Is it a first come first serve kind of line?

I have plenty of money to give away to the less fortunate at Christmas, but I don't want my generosity to be abused.

Obvious things like helping out in retirement homes etc - might not be possible to arrange at short notice.

I work with small non-profit groups, and am working on proposals for some potential clients. The hardest part of this business is building trust, because so many people in fundraising are scam artists.

I am collecting people's stories of bad deals and rip-offs. Would be interested in yours.
