Bring and buy sales are popular. A street collection is good, (you will need a permit)

Have you tried your local council to see what grants are available? Have you applied for a National Lottery grant? I looked up these for a local playgroup in my area some 10 years ago and was successful in obtaining the grants. It took a lot of hard graft to complete all the necessary forms, but it was worth it in the end.

Are there grants available for your use? If not then couple with a fund-raising company. They sometimes will give you a little extra of the profits when it is for a non-profit organization.

how about going down to your local supermarket and help pack people's shopping and have buckets in which they can place donations in. it's a good idea this time of year because loads of people are buying more than usual and are in a good mood, oh and i'm sure they will appreciate the help.

Consider online fundraising. You can take advantage of a lot of programs out there that do affiliate marketing.
