As a social worker, people ask me a lot of questions. I find the ones relating to suicide the hardest. I want so much to help and the stakes are so high.

Why have I forgiven certain people for the horrible things they did to me as a child.
I had no answer except- I didn't have the energy to hate anymore.

Whether or not I want to stay married. That question is so hard, I've been seriously contemplating it for three years now. I've now got what I like to call "paralysis from over-analysis"

My 2nd (ex) wife's question when she wanted to leave me and I said, "I'd die for you." (meaning her and my son). She said, "But would you live for us?"
We are friends and I love her as a friend and I love my son. But, obviously, I didn't have an answer.
That's hard.
