Some of us thought of starting this new year by spending some time with the people living in an old age home and by giving some gifts to them.We are confused of which gifts would best suit them ? We've talked to one of the home's authorities and they said they have books and clothes with them.
So any suggestions on this ?
Sweaters is one choice that we have.

I need the name of a charity to donate to. I know there are a million in the world and they are all deserving, but if you have a reason that one you are affiliated with/believe in is particularly deserving, I'd love to hear it...

Original question: My 8 yr old wants to donate some of his toys "to someone who lost his home and toys in the hurricane" (his words). I think this is noble and would like to honor his request. Does anyone know an organization or someone personally that needs a few toys suitable for an 8 yr old boy? Feel free to e-mail too.

Updating question: We'd really like to donate the toys to hurricaine survivors, not other places and as we live in the boon-docks there aren't any shelters or salvation army stores, etc. He's been really touched by those stories and I want to feed this desire in him to help.

I am getting rid of a bunch of stuff and I have underwear I don't wear anymore. There are no holes or streaks or anything. Do these places accept underwear or should I just toss it?

I have seen groups of White teenagers imitating dress and slang of black teenagers/rappers. How does this strike you? It is a hard question for me to ask. It feels a bit like cultural appropriation, but at the same time I feel a lot of these boys are doing it without malice, and look up to people who they imitate.

Former CIS нas gone and new country appears in front of participation in United Europe.
One of them is Ukraine.
The main problem - unemployment knocks to door of well educated persons. If you used drugs to find job is impossible.

A lot of not perspective young people looking for the easiest way to get off troublesand come back to drugs. But one small thing, as barrier of realizing dissonance of social benefits dividing, just faced us that the whole new generation was not ready for social transformations in our society.
Summarizing quantity of druggists could put everyone into horror! Youth in age of 18-29 use drugs regularly. Teenagers do not want to stay alone in this dearth race. This situation is more or less common for Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia.
We have made a project which practically could partly solve this problem and ask for support.
The main idea:
Make drug depending people useful for society
Create small enterprises (ventures)

i dont mean the fact that there is'nt any snow on the ground or cold icy weather. i mean the overall giddy & joyfull feeling that we usually get this time of year. i have found that these usual happy feelings have been replaced with (i have to buy exspensive gifts to please people) or ( i am low on money and have to spend money i dont have ) why do we feel we have to go in debt and spend a fortune that most of us dont have? how do we turn christmas back into celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, and being gratefull for what he did and gave to us? versus celebrating the make believe guy in the red suit, and thinking we have to obey societys rules and give beyond our means (financially & mentally) o.k. i am done. this is my 1st post. i look forward to any and all feedback.
