Peace Corp is one. United Nations, UNICEF, may be another. You could also contact, should it suit you, Faith based organizations. But know that, it isn't easy to be selected, and once selected, trust me, it can a real challenge. It is rewarding, so I think you have a great idea, and good luck! Also, go searching on line.

It would not help with their instantaneous community so they could no longer be prepared to make a contribution to a minimum of a few thing the place they wont have the skill to be sure the outcomes. There are an abundance of charities closer to domicile to donate to. yet another excuse may well be that they are not as knowledgeable approximately charities in a foreign country and themes someplace else. they could no longer have confidence that their money is going to the main remarkable place in the event that they have never heard of the charity till now or considered it.

It depends a lot on what experience you have. If you have none, you'll probably be more trouble to the charity and beneficiaries than it's worth, although this clearly doesn't bother the Peace Corps.
Intelligent Giving has a list of the main volunteering organisations in the UK, where you can search by experience: http://www.intelligentgiving.com/how_to_give/give_your_time_the_list

I can personally recommend Peace Corps , but I'm in a city having fun today. Ask me again when I'm back in village trying to explain the AIDS virus in French and nobodies pay attention, their there just to get a look at the white man talking. I love development work!

there are so many christian-basec charities that offer this kind of thing - tearfund, wycliffe, YWAM (not sure of their addresses - google them if youre interested)
im not sure about other organisations - im sure that places like unicef and oxfam offer things, or at least would know organisations that do. most cities have a voluntary services bureau, and they often have details of organisations.
i spent last summer in africa and hope to go back this year - it is such an amazing experience.definitely do it if you can get the chance!!
