My day job is a commercial for-profit company, but I am a member of a board of directors for a non-profit organization that manages volunteer placement and community involvement for hundreds of other non-profit agencies.

Many non-profit organizations have national and/or international affiliates. Some examples are the United Way, Points of Light Foundation, the Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Better Business Bureau.

Well, many NGOs are non-profit organizations since NGO simply means a non-governmental organization. I do work for a non-profit organization, which refers people to different social services. We're kind of like social service triage.

I contribute and have plenty of friends working for Non Governmental Organizations like, the International Red Cross, The World Social Forum, Care, International Alert, Mercy Corps, and the American National Standards Institute.

I work for a hospital, as a nurse ,which is a non profit organization...................but that is kind of tricky, some of our Presidents and vice presidents make an awful lot for our organization to be truly called a non profit organization in my eyes.
