People have different perceptions regarding with lust. Some think that they have to control it properly to balance their sexual behaviors. However some realize that it is the cause of being not peaceful in mind and try to avoid every situation that encourages being lustful. Some never pay attention and let it be naturally. What do you view on it ? What are the issues of lust and suffering? Is it related to the liberation from suffering?

Why didn't he stic the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil in Australia or Antarctica, instead of the middle of the Garden of Eden where Eve and Adam would be able to see it.

Is He just stupid, or some kind of mind games player like someone who gets a diabetic to work in a sweet shop?

Today our family found out that my aunt has cancer. The type of cancer is still being determined... but whatever it is is really bad. She has a 3 and a half inch tumor in her lung and there is stuff floating in her pancreus and they are doing a cat scan because there may be something in her brain. I'm a believer in Christ. I love Jesus with all my heart. I believe God exists. My question is really for other believers. Why would God let this happen... especially right before we enter a new year. A chance to have a fresh start. I'm not angry with God, because I believe things like this happen for a reason. They have a purpose. I believe God will get his glory from this. Buy why now? Why does she have to start of this new year with this news?? It just sucks. I'm trying to have faith in God. I feel in my heart that He let this happen for a purpose. I only wish I knew why. If any non-believers answer or comment... all I ask is that you don't disrespect. Don't disrespect my God or me. Thanks

As a Christian - I know the scripture where God says, "... for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God..."

But I also know human jealousy is a destructive thing.

A friend asked me for a scriptural study on the subject of jealousy - and my own inability to reconcile the fact that God does not sin - yet our jealousy is a primary lead into sin... I was really hoping for some insight on this subject.

I'll take both scriptural and non-scriptural insights, dear ones.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Peace.

I mean, if you're right you don't gain anything, but if you're wrong you'll spend several hundred years in Hel. Hel is definitely a place you don't want to go. Hel is a pretty depressing place filled with the evil and the non-warriors.

You'll be surrounded by Jotnar, and when the Ragnarok starts you won't be able to avoid your terrible fate. The Aesir will tear you apart. Do you really expect Loki to protect you during the Ragnarok?

Wouldn't it be better if you just played it safe and believed? That way you could go to Val-hall and be on the side of the Aesir.

I'm writing this at half two in the morning, so excuse any typos and rambling.

I have found proof of god.

We were made in his form (or so the bible tells us). This would explain why we are so crapply adapted to this world we live in.

Our backs give out easily, our teeth pack up at the age of 30 if we don't look after them and the human ankle has got to be the worst design bodge ever.

Answers appreciated, especially wrt typos/grammar etc.
Also wrt opinions on my hypothesis.

God made man perfect, but he came out imperfect afterall, becaue he sinned and is running away from His Creator. Doesn't this make God imperfect?

It seems that every German person that I meet speaks English perfectly. It would be interesting yo learn the language, but it would appear pointless due to their aptitude for English. Your thoughts/opinions/observances?

Harass a woman day in and day out by insulting her looks, taste, dress, behavior, etc.

Even accidentally stops to stare at her only to realize it was that certain girl he harassed.

Harass her more and when she smiles it off, expects the girl to talk to him like a regular person?? And on top of that, gets sooo embarassed when she ignores him? Even though his harassment was much harsher than her simple ignoring.

What is psychologically wrong with men like this?

I mean... really and truly, what did He do in the Bible that's really awful, other than make Job's life a misery (on God's authority), point the finger at some priest or other, and give Jesus a few hints on turning rocks into tasty treats. I mean, He didn't slaughter any firstborn did He (Herod), or slaughter an entire city or men, women and children (that was Joshua), or wipe out an entire family because one of them stopped the ark of the Covenant from slipping off a cart (That was God)

I mean, he didn't even wither a fig tree (that was Jesus), or wipe out a couple of cities full of fun loving homosexuals (God again).

Or curse people for witholding their tithes (St Peter), or destroy an entire planet's ecosystem with floodwater (God, yet again)

Personally speaking, He sounds a lot more like the kind of Spiritual deity I'd like to meet, since He doesn't do very much cursing, threatening , or having fits of wrath, and nowhere in the Bible does He actually KILL anybody, does He

as far as costumes go? Someone thinks the Seven deadly sins is too limiting an idea and I'm almost getting discouraged by that. I rather like that idea. I argued that others would be limiting as well. The '80s for instance--every other girl would come as Madonna. And how much choice would a white trash party have, or a pirate party--now that's limiting. What does anyone think?

And I'm not toto sure if I will ever get to have this. When is one question (my birthday is next week and I can never do anything like that then, because it's too soon after Christmas) and where is another. I live in a moblie home and there is no room there (it's a single-wide). The clubhouse at the park costs $500 to rent and $200 for use and cleanup. Other venues are probably about the same in cost.

"3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will," - Ephesians 1:3-5.
