as far as costumes go? Someone thinks the Seven deadly sins is too limiting an idea and I'm almost getting discouraged by that. I rather like that idea. I argued that others would be limiting as well. The '80s for instance--every other girl would come as Madonna. And how much choice would a white trash party have, or a pirate party--now that's limiting. What does anyone think?
And I'm not toto sure if I will ever get to have this. When is one question (my birthday is next week and I can never do anything like that then, because it's too soon after Christmas) and where is another. I live in a moblie home and there is no room there (it's a single-wide). The clubhouse at the park costs $500 to rent and $200 for use and cleanup. Other venues are probably about the same in cost.

Intersting concept, but I'm only interested in the Seven Deadly Sins. I lived thru the 80s--they sucked. I was usingthat one and the others as examples as to whether they seemed limiting. No real interest in those either.
And I live in Hollister, California.

Wait until the weather is decent and have your party outdoors, like in a public park or on a public beach (Just be respectful of the other people using the space too.)
The Seven Deadly Sins is a great idea! My daughter and her dorm-mates did this a year ago, for Halloween, at college. They were mah-velous. And the girls who preferred to dress modestly, didn't have to dress slutty. (For example, "Greed" wore gold lame' capri pants with a glittery sweater, lots of jewelry, gold gloves, a mink stole, etc)
If your friend or whoever thinks the Seven Deadly Sins is too limiting, you might consider inviting people to come as any sin they dare to dress up as. ;-)

There's a place called the trailer park in NYC....heard about it & sounded hysterical...beads insted of doors,been bag chairs...I'm not saying persons living in trailers are beneath everyone else, but in a world that celebrates stupidity(Jackass:the movie) etc,A warlord & arms dealer as our chosen leaders ...tie your themes together.....I mean :is Peg Bundy w/ her skintight disco pants white trash or is she lustful?There's 80's ,trailer whitetrash & 7 deadlywraped....perhaps your invintation can be a broad themed/multi themed tiy-together sort.
