I have had close contact with some of the big names in Charities. Some Cancer Care Societies, Medical research foundations, United Ways, and some others. All the people working in these work on targets to raise donations. They publish these numbers of how much they raised this year. None of these ever publish numbers of where they spent these dollars. They even get permission from the governments to run lotteries for raising funds.

Some charities have the ratio as low as 12 cents spent of charitable cause for every dollar they raise. The balance 88 cents are spent on their staff and advertising budgets. Are they really doing business by showing emotional advertisements to us. Or is it my mis-conception.

If you are a simple / emotional / gullible person, who donates a few dollars from modest earnings. Have you ever tried asking these establishments "How much donations they raised last year and how much was spent on what?"

First, I am a Christian, and I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, so that I could have eternal life.

But, I guess I'm still confused on the act of forgiveness and repentance of sins.

My question is, if Jesus paid the ultimate price for every last sin a man could commit, then even though I fail as a Christian at times, I'm forgiven of all of my mistakes, even the ones I haven't even made, yet, correct?

Do I have to keep asking God for forgiveness of my sins upon commiting them and hope that I asked forgiveness for every last one of them before I die, or is simply putting my faith in Jesus that he is my savior and I am forgiven of every sin the catch-all for all of my short-comings? In otherwords, repentance is merely acknowledging I am a sinner and in need of a savior, and not having to necessarily worry about whether or not I am going to continue to sin because all my sins (past, present and future) have been forgiven, correct?

I hope I didnt make your head spin

Lets face it , there are not that many fellow wiccans living next door to people like us.Some of us have to hide our preferences for the fear of being judged , ridiculed , and put down as my parents will do if they discover what i am! so the only option left for us is to go online and find a forum , but still we dont feel as happy as having our little group like any other religion , at least me)
I wanna know how being lonely impact your practices?have any of your friends left you alone when he/she discovered this about you?...it happened to me , this stupid boy believed i put a spell on him after he had an accident , i cant believe him anyways...
What can all of us do to let people see this is not a religion of the devil as they say...
and i wish a happy , magical new year! btw
blessings

"Heart" as in the "love" sense of the word. I've done some research and seen "pectus," and other translations, but I don't know if that is correct. I'd love if anyone who knows Latin or anything about latin could help me out!

What is your perspective on a proposal to split the R & S section into a series of sub-sections? For example, there could be a subsection for all the world's major religions" one for Christianity, another for Islam, Hinduism etc., as well as a section for general spiritualists. There could also be an "other" section for participants whose main religion/spiritual belief is not indicated by a definite subsection. This new system could have the advantage of (1) Providing a more direct and specific array of questions and answers available to participants - for example, if you want to ask a question and you specifically want answers from Christians, you go to the Christian section. (2) Reducing congestion (particularly with teh flooding of questions) associated with teh present system. Some disadvantages: (1) Some sections may be overactive, while others remain quite inactive. (2) Many people might just miss the old fast pace, congested, open and fun system. So what is your perspective?

like on the news, they call the terrorists "islamic terrorists". why do they have to go by their religion? i personally think that it's not fair to others of that religion because it just makes some people think that that religion is automatically bad because they screwed up.
what do you think?
