If aliens were discovered on another planet? I don't think much would change on Earth.

If aliens were discovered visiting Earth? That would depend on the aliens. I'm sure many people would try to exploit and destroy them out of greed and fear.

As for religion, people would find a way to incorporate the aliens into their particular religious beliefs. The aliens would either be a "sign from God," or a "test from Satan," or whatever fits.

Personally, I don't think religion would change at all. Some religions have gods that control certain parts of the universe and watch over the beings that live in the universe such as us humans. If aliens came, it would just say that we're not alone and we have other beings live in the universe that the religions god controls. If people would just accept that there are other intelligent beings just like use that live in the universe our gods control and watch over. Other parts that religions say Aliens are demons and that they would not be excepted here on earth and its true! Aliens don't live on earth and don't want to, if they do, they would of already be living on this planet already. Religion would only change it the people think that Aliens are gods or demons in which, there not.

Discovered by who? Usually when a downed ufo or alien comes close to being discovered by the public, the government snatches it up. Most likely the government is keeping the information from being leaked. Though that hasn't always worked.

As long as people are living in denial there will be no proof. Close minded people have to see these sort of things with their own eyes. It is ******* sad.

Good point, I bring up something similar in every seminar I attend these days, as I am an abductee and over the years have put my own theories forward...
There are 3 different kinds of aliens that are interested in us..
Each of them have their own agenda, I expect the government knows as they are the ones hell-bent on covering everything up..
Here is my theory on the UFO cover up world-wide :-
Very simply, if you had 3 questions you could ask an ET, would one of your questions be about religion and God, and it matters not of which earthly God you refer to???
Well you can bet that question has been asked and they didn't like the answer, so they will do anything, including murdering people to keep us, the public at large of knowing the truth about UFOs and aliens..
They wish to keep all the sheep grazing in their perspective paddocks, the way it is now, as because if the real truth was revealed that all the religious mumbo jumbo was in fact a crock of sh!t, then they would be faced with a world of people who have nothing to lose, no Heaven, no Hell..
Do you get my point, normal people who believe in religion, which ever one it may be are all of a sudden free to do what ever they like with no consequences, as in going to Hell..
That is why we are treated like little children by our governments, no matter where you come from, we are all treated the same..
Soon, very soon, no government will be able to deny their existence, they are here..
Blessings.. )O(

Dont look at my name and think im putting this cuz of the show.... but anywayz to the question.Im a believer in aliens and i believe that Aliens exist weather you believe it or not. If we actually discovered them, than man would test these beings until nothing was left because thats what people do. they destroy things, but anyway, i believe that the world as we know it would crumble, and we would lose religion because we wouldnt know what to believe. I believe that if our military captured enough of these beings that we would be commiting suicide, based on my beliefs that things could turn ugly if we took away another colonies people. if you get what i mean.

Oh and just an FYI Im christian

If aliens made their presence known to mankind, it would be a big problem to the governments of the world. Obviously, aliens would be superior in intelligence, thereby neutralizing government leaders influence. This is why info on UFO's are kept classified in many countries.

As for religion, the presence of aliens does not mean God doesn't exist. It just means that He created more than just this one earth.

I know this sounds shallow, but I really think it depends on what the Aliens look like.

If they look like humans or almost like humans, they would probably be accepted by most societies. If they looked like animals or were furry or scaley or missing certain features (or had extra limbs), I am sure there'd be the usual call for extermination. PEOPLE FEAR WHAT THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

As far as religion, the responses are limitless. Rational religious people will accept the fact that the aliens not demons or devil's minions and this is not the end of the world.
