Is it not that choosing between good & evil rests on free will?

There is no evil in heaven. We do things that are evil because we are fallen, tempted by the devil...if you will. However in heaven that temptation is removed...we are made pure and complete by God's love.

The deciding factor is not whether a person is good or evil.
Entering into Gods kingdom rests solely on whether or not you know Jesus Christ as King. People will perish in hell because they relied on the works and good deeds they did.
Instead of relying on what Christ Jesus had already done.
Praise The Holy Lamb Of God !!
As far as believers sinning in heaven, this will be impossible.
Some angels rebelled and were cast out, but humans are created to be "Higher" than the angels. We will be changed into our spiritual bodies and have the mind of Christ. No sin will be in heaven and so no temptation will be before us. Angels and humans are created differently. We are created to
be part of Gods family and serve Him. And Angels were created to serve God and humans. Humans will outrank the Angels in heaven. God Bless You...Peace.

well, theoretically, the people who will enter heaven are likely to be those who will never conceive doing evil in the first place. therefore, evil will be the furthest thing from their thoughts, desires, words and actions. when they enter heaven, they will be pure and sinless, hence, it is likely that, although they may still have the free will, no evil will come forth from them. it's an interesting question, though, since the circumstances surrounding Satan's exile from heaven and his reign of evil...all stemmed from his free will. the fact that he was a very prized angel in heaven does indeed provide food for thought as to the question of "free will to do evil" in heaven.

You either chose to surrender to the Holy Spirit, and be filled with righteousness, or be filled with the sinful nature, and have no righteousness before God.

As you can see, the tale of heaven or hell does not make sense. Your observation about freewill was well thought.

Good and evil are not the criteria. Choice is. You CHOOSE to enter heaven through your daily choices and activities, just like you choose to skip heaven in your daily choices.

And choosing 'good' or 'evil' as you or I would generally define it are not the key options- it is to choose to follow God's (or some form of higher) guidance and principals or not.

Am I choosing an action in accordance with spiritual standards, or am I choosing for the flesh? Long term for the greater good, or short term personal gain? Spirit or flesh?

That doesn't make sense. How then did lucifer get cast out into Hell in the first place?

Maybe there is no evil, but rather a Dark Side, like the Force which you should be familiar with. You once thought the maintenance of the Republic was above even the Jedi order because you thought the Sith were good from a point of view. I don't even know why I'm answering this; you're a spirit of the Force now, you should know this.
