What did you consider the worst show?

I hated Ozzie and Harriet. The show would start and one of the kids would trip over the front door rug and the whole show was about someone tripping over the stupid rug.

Jack Baily was the host for "Queen For A Day" Mother knew the next guest and counted the hours until the next show.
The boredom was more than I could stand and his voice was sooo cheesy. That's the way i remember it, anyway :)

I loved Kukla, Fran and Ollie! I really can't remember a show I didn't like. Well, my Dad liked to watch boxing on the "Gillette Cavalcade of Sports" (I think that was what it was called). I didn't like that very much. The very first tv show I ever saw was on a tiny round screened tv that our neighbors had gotten. They lived in the apartment below ours and several families gathered on folding chairs in their living room to watch -- wrestling!

Well as a matter of fact Wally , Ozzie and Harriet was my favourite show , but I watched it to see Ricky.
The show I hated the most was Krazy Kat. We hated the sound effects and couldn't figure out why we couldn't see Woody Woodpecker or Bugs Bunny.

The Howdy Doody Show with that butt-ugly puppet on strings...it was an ugly thing & moved like a chuckie doll. IMHO. Maybe that's where they got their original idea from!

Our first TV had a 12" round screen, the first show I remember was Uncle Miltie and the Texaco Hour, Red Buttons, etc. In those days, the Indian Chief Screen test showed more than shows did. The Nelsons came much later. I think one of the best shows ever shown was from that era, the Syd Caeser show of shows...absolutely marvelous. The Firestone Hour usually displayed opera, and the Hallmark Hall of Fame was good for drama. So many stars had their own shows, Loretta Young always came floating out on a cloud of some kind of fabric, we were watching the original I Love Lucy shows when the telephone rang...my father had just been killed in an automobile accident and it was the hospital calling. I was 10 1/2 at the time. That was a very long time ago. Phil
