Mine did. And there was a playground and we would have to go play in our pajamas if we wanted to play before the movies started.

Yes, ours did too. Felt really stupid being the only kids in their PJ's while all the other kids were in shorts or jeans or business suits and stuff like that.

When I was little enough to wear PJs
to the Drive-In, there WAS NO drive-ins.
As I recall, it was only black and white
and very jerky movies., like Flash Gordon, and Perils of Pauline, and
the day the bug ate the world, and that kind of stuff. Oh. Laurel and Hardy.

I never went to a Drive-In when I was a little girl. My ex and I had our four little ones wear their PJs though. They didn't feel funny as most of the others had on theirs as well.

No, I'm too old for there to have been drive-ins. Talkies were just coming in at the movie house. However, I did make my children wear their PJs when their Dad and I took them to the drive-in.

Yeah, we all wore pajamas, and robes if it was going to be cool out. We backed in the station wagon, put down the tail gate, and watched from our "bed" in the back. And if they wanted us to go to the concession stand, we were met by other kids in their pajamas.

Nope, they never made us wear our pajamas to the drive-in. They asked us if we wanted to or not. Said it would be better if we did so that way when we got home we could go right to bed. Mom also always made pop corn and sandwiches to take with us as well as having pop in an ice chest. They did not want to buy food and drinks from the there. She also packed the quilts for us to lay on while watching the movie. We were not allowed to go play with the other kids in the play ground at all. We had to stay there at the truck at all times.

My first thought when I read your question was, Heck no! My mother would have killed me if I wore PJs to the drive-in. I didn't go to drive-ins until I was dating. My parents didn't drive. I made my son wear pajamas when I took him to a drive-in. He fell asleep anyway and it was easier putting him to bed when we got home. I really miss drive-ins. I was really sad when our last one closed.

Yes, and I was always embarrassed to go to the bathroom, but there were always other kids in pj's too.

I sem to recall reading that drive-ins haven't completely died out and may be making a comeback.

No they didn't because it was only one and a half miles from home and we had to make all the runs to the concession stand for them.
