I am going to visit my grandchildren soon and haven't seen them since they were infants. It's going to be strange to be called Grandma (or something else) for the first time!

My grand-kids call me granny, they call their other grandparents nana and papa. They have one more set of grandparents they call them grandma and grandpa. They call my mother great granny. My sons call their grandfather TT.

Your grand kids will find a name they feel comfortable calling you, or if you have a name you would rather be called let them know when you are introduced to them.

Have you been talking to them on the phone? If so, what do they call you when they talk to you?

All the others are called gramma. Me I'm the NA-NA. Crazy Na-Na. I'm the one who swims, runs, gets down on the floor and plays, spins, flips the kids, and jumps on the trampoline with them, and doesn't mind looking like a fool. My grandson started calling me Na-Na when he was about year and a half, at first I didn't like it, but soon came to realize how special it was. My granddaughter calls me everyday(shes almost 2) and I really look forward to hearing that Na-Na. I can't understand much of anything else

Town ones call me Grandad. The country ones call me Grampy and to differentiate twixt the two Grampies...they add his hobby ...so, as I once kept racing pigeons...I am Grampy Pigeons. Both sets call my wife nanny. You'll enjoy that...being called anything by grand kids is a promotion up the family ranks.

I'm Gramma Rhonda. When I told my kids to let them call me Old Woman, the kids got upset...but they've been calling me Old Woman since I was 30.

Mine call me Grammy - makes me feel like an award! This name came about because my eldest grand son could not pronounce Grandma - so it became Grammy! It's OK with me - just so long as they DO call me.

My oldest grandson calls me, "Lady". We don't know why, but I truly love it. His younger brother calls me, "Ma", and even though I thought "Duchess" would have been more appropriate, "Ma" is pretty cute. Both boys call their grandpas, "BaBa". The greats are "Big Lady" and "Big BaBa" (even though the greats are elderly and very tiny!).
