I need some things cleared up from a practicing mormon.

-Do Mormon use the Bible
-Do Mormons also use a Book of Mormon with complete different writings from the original Bible
-Do you believe Jesus was a white man (not counting thats the overall American visual of Jesus)
-Is it ok to have multipule partners

I don't mean any offense but these are the things that are always thrown out there.

in the summer holidays, i spend time with my family and friends, but i study also for exams. i love to go to the seaside, but it rains a lot in England, so it is not normaly possible.

I went to dinner with a close friend and an acquaintance of hers. Normally this girl is not someone I see or particularly care for but I always go out of my way to be polite when I see her. We ordered dinner and drinks and we each had a beer. After a few minutes this girl's beer slips from her hand and spills all over my lap, my seat, and my new leather handbag. I didn't act annoyed; it was an accident, but understandly I was fuming inside that my brand new bag was ruined. All she said was a careless "sorry"; she didn't even offer to help me clean up let alone replace my bag. My friend didn't even say anything and rolled her eyes like a was making a huge deal when I went to clean myself and my seat up... everything was sopping wet. Again it was an accident but I'm annoyed with both of them for their rude behavior. If I had spilt something I would have offered to clean for whoever I spilled my drink on. Do I have the right to be somewhat angry?

Do they serve Him and sing to Him because they want to?

If they don't want to and would rather be doing their own thing there fulfilling their own personal desires, do you think they'll be cast down to Hell?


If that's true, then Heaven is worse than being here because at least here on Earth, you don't have God "breathing down your neck" ready to cast you out the second you'd rather do your own instead of what he wants you to do. I don't like this. When I die someday and am there, it looks like I'll have to tell God to get off my back and let me do what I like.

I am a 28 year old male who believes that there should be a return to modesty. I am very much attracted to the female form, however, I don't understand why women want to expose their bodies to the entire world when it should only be seen by their husbands (not even their boyfriends). And no, I am not super religious or a first generation immigrant from a repressed society of any kind. I am a regular white American from NY. I don't want to hear that bikinis are comfortable, etc. That is a poor excuse. What's the real reason, do women feel it is the only way to attract men. Oh, one more thing - I am not a male who supports feminism, just one that supports a return to modesty. Maybe all the problems with erectile dysfunction has to do with the fact that men have become desensitized to the female body. What do you think?

I just read in January 2008 Decision Magazine (web site: decisionmag.org ), "We may know the religious songs. We may even say prayers. But if we haven't been to the foot of the cross, we haven't been born again.".
& All unrighteousness is sin (1Jn5:17) & yet before we can get to heaven, we must have righteousness. God says, "Be perfect as I am perfect, holy as I am holy." (Mt5:48&1Ptr1:16).

So, our self righteousness is like filthy rags. But when we are clothed in Christ righteousness (at the foot of the cross) we are made the righteousness of Christ. Even when Jesus said "It is finished!" on the cross (veil rent). The OT Saints &the thief on the cross raised up (as ghosts) & they ascended to the 3rd heaven. Because the atonement was made. (They didn't need 'baptism by proxy' because Jesus was baptized for them when He was baptized by John.) (Mt.27:50-54)

Mormons think that those not baptized into their Church need 'baptism by proxy' or 'baptism for the dead' to be saved.

Whenever I ask a question directed at christians I get at least two answers saying I'm generalizing. I can say "many" or "some" or even "a few". But I see get the "You're generalizing" answers. Do I have to name an exact number. Like "32 christians......". Come on people it your group if you don't like what the dummies in it say change those dummies.

So many catholic apologetics sites I've seen seem so frustrated with having to repeat the line that praying to Mary IS NOT worshipping her, that catholics do NOT worship statues, and other things - catholic.com makes these points as plain as day on their site, so why do fundamentalists continue to believe them? Why is intercessory prayer so offensive to them?
