Whenever I ask a question directed at christians I get at least two answers saying I'm generalizing. I can say "many" or "some" or even "a few". But I see get the "You're generalizing" answers. Do I have to name an exact number. Like "32 christians......". Come on people it your group if you don't like what the dummies in it say change those dummies.

Saying you're generalizing is often a way of dodging the question, which happens a lot here. I think sometimes being over critical of spelling or grammar is often the same thing.

Just say "some" Christians and you should be fine. Stay away from "all" and "most" Christians. We would like to change those dummies but unfortunately we can't. They are free to practice their way of worshipping as it's stated in the constitution. Besides, in my denomination those people don't exist. You find those people in megachurches usually in the midwest or South. It's very far from where I live.

But if you put down a number they will want to know how you came up with that. Just use "some". It is the least offensive, and most won't think it's them anyway.

Yes. You must list these Christians' names as well. Everything must be spelled out for such answerers so that no mystery is left for them to play with.

Everyone acts like you are personally offending them when you ask a question that they fit right into. They don't get it and never will.

You can generalize all you want - it is something that human beings do on a daily basis.

That's a new response - it's supposed to negate someone's opinion. It's silliness - we all generalize, we all judge from time to time. It's people's nature to put things in boxes. It makes it more easy to put our hands on it, and understand it.

Please check out this intriguing question. I really need more help on it. Thanks so much! :)

Perhaps it's because they cannot answer your question and yet feel the need to answer so they attack you instead.

How can I change anyone but myself? I encourage others to change, but mostly they don't listen.
