Do they serve Him and sing to Him because they want to?

If they don't want to and would rather be doing their own thing there fulfilling their own personal desires, do you think they'll be cast down to Hell?

If that's true, then Heaven is worse than being here because at least here on Earth, you don't have God "breathing down your neck" ready to cast you out the second you'd rather do your own instead of what he wants you to do. I don't like this. When I die someday and am there, it looks like I'll have to tell God to get off my back and let me do what I like.

Did you see the preview of that movie, "Kick the Bucket" with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson? They must be enjoying life NOW for a reason.

This issue of "serving God" seems to be very perception-based, and seems also to vary widely from religion to religion. I understand your point, and it's a valid question. I recommend getting to know God in a direct manner to get the best answer on this question. Clearly, many people disagree on this topic, and so people's answers might only lead to more conflict.

My experience is that God has never really demanded anything of me. And that God seems to love serving me, like a loving parent who relishes buying a new winter coat for her children. The children are just playing and not having any thought about winter coming. But mother is already selecting/making winter jackets because of her immense love for the children and her wisdom about the coming season. That's my perception and experience.

Then again, if anyone is worthy of being served, then it's truly God. This Great Giver is worthy of our best giving. But I haven't sensed any demand for this serving coming directly from God. But it does seem to be a smart idea. It behooves me to look for ways to serve this Worthy One.

God doesn't breathe down your neck, He loves you... so if you aren't willing to accept that, then you should stop worrying about how bad Heaven will be because you either won't get there or you believe it doesn't exist. If you believe in Heaven and Hell then you need to learn more about believing in God.

Supporting a massive church to have theatrical entertainment is more fun than feeding the poor and adopting the 143 million orphans. Forcing women to be poor is a good way to get them to be submissive.

God created the Heaven, earth, you, everything you see..the LEAST you can do is serve him. In heaven, everyone will want to serve him.

I would serve him some chocolate strawberries and a glass of wine. Then I would say thanks for everything and go enjoy my afterlife. No singing required, and, if you ever heard me sing, not recommended.

You don't HAVE to serve him. It's just nice. God likes it when people sing his praises. But he's not going to be mad at you if you don't. Living your life is just good enough for him, that's why he gave it to us to live.

Serving is only a part of it, not our entire life.

You won't be in Heaven if you would not be happy there. Otherwise it would be Hell for you!!

You are welcome to your opinion. As for me, I love God. I don't consider serving God a burden but an incredible Joy!
