This Christmas, I wasn't excited or anything about the next morning. I wasn't even feeling that "Christmas-y" feeling. I felt like it was any other day of the year.

I usually feel excited and sort of nervously happy the night before and can't sleep. This year I felt blank. Does this mean I'm growing up or something?

PS- I'm in high school.

Verses please? I'm trying to find some info for my husband who is very depressed about our cat: We have spent over $2000 in 4 days on her treatment and we do not know if she will pull through. Please pray that she does, she is almost like a daughter to him who had no one while he was alone for many years in Florida while his family was far away.

I don't believe in anything as asinine as a "hell". The whole concept is ridiculous. If any such evil place existed, there are a few report happy idiots here who probably deserve to barbecue there for a few days though. What do you think?

My hubby & I just got back from visiting my daughter & son-in-law in Dallas for Christmas. I found it interesting that she is using one of my expressions that I used on her. When ever she would expect me to do her chores, I would ask her "Just who do you think you are, the Queen of Sheba?" She has updated that expression for when the grandkids spend too much money by saying "Just who do you think you are, Donald Trump?" So, if you use this expression, who's name do you use and under what circumstances do you use it? Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Is being quickly and easily scandalized by the sex lives of others the same thing as being moral?

The reason I ask: I notice in my life that people who are easily scandalized by the sex lives of others, don't always live the most moral lives themselves.

Most of my acquaintances who were shocked by the recent spate of "anti-gay" republicans'/preachers' gay sex scandals, were upset about the sex involved, but didn't give the hypocrisy of those actions a 2nd thought. These are folks whom I've noticed don't show a lot of moral fiber in general.

The people I see to be moral in their lives weren't shocked by the sex, but were very upset about the hypocrisy of a supposedly anti-gay republican conservative who secretly has gay sex when he thinks he can get away with it.

So in general, is there really a negative correlation between true morality and the easily scandalized?

I apologize for being easily confused when words in the Bible sometimes seem to have different meanings than they do in English.

In context, I am referring to the discussions regarding OT law going away, with many here saying that the laws were fulfilled by Christ, meaning "To bring to an end; complete." However, the Prophecies were not completed at that time (i.e., the End Times, etc.), so that definition would not work for both Prophecies and Laws.

not only do we share 95-98% of our DNA, but chimps practice warfare, use tools, communicate with sign language (they do lack vocal chords, after all) and do simple math. Doesn't that at least make you WONDER about evolution?

Witches, or Wiccans, have always thought to be allies with the devil. I'm wondering why, because the root of the word "Wicca" means "harm none."
