Neither. It is your free will choice.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that ANY should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.
Ezekiel 18:32
"For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord GOD. “Therefore turn and live!”
Your free will choice will be influenced by those you choose to listen to--God, the devil, or your own opinion. I chose to listen only to God through His Word, the Bible. I now have 100% assurance of salvation, not because of anything I have done, but totally on the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Jay - that is your free will choice. It was only our job to tell you that there are eternal consequences at stake.

Neither. You decide. Supposedly after you die, you see how your sin has hurt God and your world, and then you judge yourself.
Some would say then that it is easy, they would choose heaven. However, from what I understand, sins cause pain for God. If you found out that, by being a selfish person, you were causing physical pain to another person, would you really judge yourself ready for heaven?

in the bible the devil is the 'accusor' much like a prosecutor your belief is suppost to determine your defence and suck in short its like the ultimate court case where u end up in hell or heaven and infinate punishment for finite sins seems silly to me but never mind what is written so long ago cant be expected to be rational

it depend's on your religion. Catholics believe you decide where you go. if you do good, and want to be w/ God then you go w/ him. if you do a mortal sin cutting your tie w/ him you go to hell, cuz you choose not to be w/ him. some religions believe that God decides who goes to heaven/hell at the beggining of time regardless of who will do good or evil.

Many people think that it is ok to sin now and repent later.
If that is your choice then only you will have to answer to it.
