We're getting ready to open presents and I don't even have mine wrapped yet... well sort of I guess. They're wrapped, but it didn't come out right. There is tape going left and right, the wrapping paper is all crinkled up, part of the gift is even showing as it tore out because of the poor wrapping. and although it's a box with fancy clothes inside, the whole thing is circular and looks like I will be giving everyone a basketball for christmas judging by the shape because of the wrapping. Would u be fine if your family member gave u a gift like this? You know what they say, it's the thought that counts and the fact that I tried. How do u wrap a box or anything for that matter. I also got this funny shaped thing for my mom. Although it is very small, the wrapping paper makes it look as if I have given her a new TV set

I haven't done this, but I was curious, lol.
I always close the toilet lid before flushing, because I fear the toilet water aerosolizing as the water spins and spraying around the bathroom, contaminating everything with pee water. Don't call me crazy- I saw this on Dateline once!
Do you think it's over the top to get a little plaque made to hang in the bathroom that says please close lid before flushing, so that guests don't flush without dropping the lid first?
And if you went to someone's house and saw this, would you close the lid first or ignore it??

Take for example the penalty for adultery--In the Jewish Torah the punishment is death by stoning--in the Christian New Testament it is forgiveness accompanied by a warning not to sin again--& in the Muslims Koran the punishment is 200 lashings in public--Why does Abraham's God keep changing his own rules??

Who can understand that I grieve for those who despise the Gospel of Christ, who cannot discern things temporal from spiritual, whose judgments arise only from the wisdom of men? In those who have never known the joy of communion with God, I witness bitterness and pride, compulsion to challenge all things holy, debating the things they know nothing about, asking for proofs they would never fathom.

I would that God would have mercy on them, and on me, to relieve my sorrow, or that in His grace He might give power to my witness, to help them know Him.

Yet in His will I live because He is sovereign, and His purpose is perfect

If so, why haven't there been any documented cases of things like spinal cord healings, curing of AIDS, severed limb regrowth, etc? The stuff I always see are the "healings" of people that don't really have major medical problems or, the healing can't really be proven. What gives?

Muslims are willing to defend other Muslims when other Muslims are being persecuted , like Afghanistan because you are all part of an ummah. By the same yardstick , if Muslims in Pakistan persecute Christians , then Christians in Christian majority nations have a right to retaliate against the local Muslims, right ?

As you are part of the ummah and are responsible for any crime committed by the ummah . The ummah is one complete body ,right ?
