Mitt Romney seems like a good person, but I believe we need a president that has more respect for the Constitution. Ron Paul is such a person. It's time to return to the basic principles of good government the Founders envisioned.

When his campaign started I was not very interested in him. But, the more I learn about him, his experience, and where he stands on the issues the more I like him. Right now I think that I will vote for him because he brings much more ability and experience than those running against him. For years I had hoped that a successful business person would run for president. They know how to get things done and succeed. I trust successful businessmen over career politicians any day.
The church completely stays out of politics. You will never hear a politician campaigning at one of our churches like you see at a lot of other religions. I have been an active member for 41 years and have never seen or heard a politician being supported or opposed at any of our church functions. During election season we have a letter read that explains that the church does not support candidates but that individual members need to be informed and pray about who to vote for.
So, to answer your question, I am voting for Mitt, but the reasons have nothing to do with religion.

Like the majority of Mormons, I don't like in the USA, so I can't vote for Mitt Romney.
The Church makes a point of not getting involved in politics and not telling members who to vote for. We are directed to follow our consciences. If Mormons are voting for Romney it's not because they've been told to, but because they feel they want to support "one of our own". Also they would know his moral standing and viewpoints, and know that they would correspond with their own beliefs.
Personally I would love to be able to vote for a Mormon government (we vote for the party, not the leader) because I would know that they would be opposed to abortion, gay marriage, etc, and would support tax breaks for married people. However, we have only one Mormon MP out of 600 or so, and religion is a taboo subject in British politics. Tony Blair only felt able to admit that he was a Christian (and convert to Catholicism) AFTER he ceased to be Prime Minister. If the electorate had know he was religious, no one would have voted for him.

I don't know if I will or not. I don't know that much about him. I'm not too thrilled that he didn't jump on the "Merry Christmas, can't we all just get along this Christmas season" bandwagon that Huckabee started. But I honestly haven't heard ANY advertisements for him. The most I've heard is on here, which really isn't that much.
EDIT: kibye, remember that of the 13.5 million LDS only about 5 million are in the US.

Other than being a Mormon, I think that he is a good and intelligent man and could do a good job as president. Well look at Bush, he is not Mormon and I voted for him and HE and his administration is selling us to foreign powers, China, Mexico, etc. So if Romney say that he is going to secure our border and ports, revised all treaties that concern free trait agreements, implement our immigration laws already in the books, then I think that is good enough for me and should be also for the people that love this country. Could you imagine if the Democrats win the elections, Hillary, Obama, etc. what will happen to our country ?? think of this, please...

If he ends up being the Republican candidate, maybe. It depends on who the Democratic candidiate is. I like Obama, but if it's Clinton, I will vote Republican.

Why don't we wait and find out who's on the ballot? Then, and only then, can I decide who I am voting for.
I will say though, that I would love to see "President Romney".
