I'm 14 years old and I'm in France for experiencing how its like, I originally live in America. I am not really in good terms with the family Im living with here, and all the stores are closed. I dont want to waste my time on the computer all day, especially on Christmas. What do you do if you're spending XMAS 'alone'?

god....well we can say ..we are in the middle of an evolution link..humans are considered as an important link..in evolution..here at this point...we have a choice...to evolve further in our consious..to reach the final place ..the god..or we can degrade in to animals...
the choice is ours...i realise the satan is nothing but our mind..a breeding place for all evil tendancies...and five sensory organs help to gather all sorts of vices in the mind...now ..we gathered so much dust and if we clean it then we will reach where we started..and the question of all these kind will vanish....the technique that helps is ..meditation...only we will find all answers in this...

You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens above or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them

I am not expecting a lot of replies since it is easier to say where they wouldn't apply it rather than where they do apply it.

"LIFE IN THE MIDDLE AGES"

When did the day
of my youth fade away
with its hearty young snap and its zing?

In a flash, it all went
now, my body is spent
and I can't seem to manage a thing!

Just a short time ago,
like the "star" of the show,
I could haul my own weight on a jog,

but as quick as a wink,
I now grimace to think
that I have all the zip of a log!

Perception of time
can be oddly sublime
when it comes to the process of "age",

and when looking behind,
the majority find
that those "twinges" were just the first stage!

I will fill up my jigger
when afternoon rigor
sets in for the rest of the day,

and I'll drink to the pain
from the earlier strain
that came on in a fleeting foray.

As I noticed around,
I found something profound
That presented an ironic riddle:

When we enter the stage
of that oncoming age,
why does it appear on "OUR" middle?

I guess the holidays are a rough time for many people. I have an interesting situation. I have been estranged from my mother for over ten years now. She disowned me for being gay and wanted nothing to do with me after that. Let alone she is a huge religious fanatic(catholic) but had numerous affairs while married to my father including the priest that married them. She is now remarried and has a whole new family that she adores. Fortunately, I live far away from her but nevertheless it is still difficult. I cease to exsist in her world. My father left our family when my brother and I were teenagers and I have no contact with him either. Most of my family doesn't speak to me and I am without a partner at the current moment. My brother is married with children and on the other side of the country and our contact is sparingly limited as time as progressed. All of my friends are with their families and I am alone. I have HIV and want to die. Will this sadness last forever?

(NOTE: this topic is only for educational purposes, so don't joke around or type "jk". I'm trying to get real answers from real people, thank you)

(NOTE 2: PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WHY SATAN CHALLENGED GOD. ONLY ANSWER why satan challenged God if god is powerful then why did he challenge God if God knows everything and the future and even lucifer's weaknesses.)

Why did satan/lucifer challenged/waged war against God if God is so powerful?

Was lucifer not thinking about the powers of God? Lucifer should know that God is powerful and almighty and that none of his creations can defeat him because God knows them and God created them and God knows what will happen next.

So did lucifer challenged god without thinking that god was powerful? What was he doing before he challenged god? What was going on inside lucifer's mind?

What do you think about the Queen's speech 2007?
I enjoyed it but in my opinion she celebrated herself at the end of the speech (where the chorus sang: God save the Queen from 1957)

Merry Christmas to all Christian friends on Yahoo! Answers
&
to all those who believe in Jesus Christ.

Happy Holidays!

Maybe Christmas has become your sacred cow.
Maybe you should step back and consider; What it is about Christmas (a day not spoken about by Jesus and the apostles accept to say that it happened) and why you couldn't just...
let it go?
Why are you not more interested in Holy Communion or resurrection Sunday?

If you look at all aspects of modern Christmas from a spiritual stand point; a place of deep worship for Christ, Christmas is a hideous and grotesque beast with no resemblance to Christ or his works, desires and teachings.

Be honest.

I've been reading back through quite a few of the religious posts, and it seems there are a lot of questions aimed at criticising or debunking certain sects, particularrly the Jehovahs Witnesses and Mormons.

I am neither, I was brought up Anglican (Church of Ireland) but converted to RC (not the easiest thing to do in Belfast when your father is an Orangeman) because the more I studied the C of I, the more I got the feeling the C of I was recreating God in the Image of man.

I know this is a bit long winded, but I know what it is like to be persecuted for believing different to friends and family, and I am feeling real sorry for them. Why can't you just agree to disagree, or ask constrructive questions, rather than pose a debunk as a question?

There are an awful lot of 'saved' people on Earth right now... and Earth is a skumpond. I have a little trouble believing that this is the best a thousand Jesuses can do...

I am confused why G-d would give rules to the Jews a schosen people and then allegedly change his mind and not have Jews follow those rules afterwords. The laws of the sabbath, the laws of eating things like that. I can't fathom he would changed the day of the sabbath.
