I am confused why G-d would give rules to the Jews a schosen people and then allegedly change his mind and not have Jews follow those rules afterwords. The laws of the sabbath, the laws of eating things like that. I can't fathom he would changed the day of the sabbath.

God did not change anything.
Man changed the way it is observed.
Don't be confused about it. Until you realize God has always been, is, and will always be the same then you may understand more.
Where you got the idea He changed is beyond me. Well maybe not because the ones who make the contradiction claims have never understood scripture.
Merry Christmas.

What changed was the covenant as prophesied in Jeremiah.

Once the old covenant lapsed, the sabbath went with it, just as all the provisions of that covenant law did.

And all this is according to God's purpose, as Paul brings out in his writings.

Try reading them.

if you've missed ONE Sabbath in your entire life then you've broken them all, that's the law, which is IMPOSSIBLE for us to follow. if you want to live by old testament covenant and be judged by it like unsaved people will then good luck.

i watched a tv program with jews following Sabbath and i saw how they made up little rules that allow them to do things which they should not do, in the eye of the law they broke the Sabbath but its so impossible to follow 100% that they have to cheat.

remember Sabbath was made for man and not man for Sabbath. if it causes you to feel uncomfortable in any way then your not doing it correctly, its not a chore, its a blessing.

(A thumbs down is "usually" confirmation that you've spoken the truth)

Don't confuse people who call themselves "messianic Jews" with people of the Jewish religion.

"Messianic Jews" is a code name for Christians who are trying to mislead Jews. They are to be condemned for their lying methods, and for underestimating the intelligence of their Jewish "targets."

If, of course, one of them is born of a Jewish mother, many (but not all) halakhic decisors regard that individual as a Jew. But the movement is without a doubt a Christian scam.

It is a pity that the asker does not have knowledge of the responsa literature; otherwise he would be able to be less inaccurate.

well, sabboth? skip that...let's go to the part first about "seeing through time" He doesn't "see through time" as we might think, I like to call it the "spiritual time line" it has exhisted for a long time..it is the Alpha and the Omega time line..since time began...(there was a era where time was not) and, time wil be no more again...but, "in the mean time" a "time line" or spiritual plain" these things are etched in stone..(so to speak ) and are unchangable..(major things) like a tree up side down...the branches leading downward to the earth and eventually into our very lives and exhistance..now, we having our own wills, can alter our own, but never cahnge the roots or major branches...in this, we are connected to the "time line" and, like a "slide rule" we are moving slowly along the path coming along in history...this is how the Lord was able to reveal things to His Prophets..and the visions they saw..and how John the revelator saw these things being caught up into the third heaven to write them down..they are still there...as we move slowly along the path of the "time line of the spiritual plain" "Peace!"

It is not G-d who changed the rules, it was man. The 613 laws of the Torah are still in effect. What makes you think differently?

Many of the Old Testament rituals were symbolic of things that would happen in the future. You don't have to go to church on Saturday. You don't have to go to church on Sunday. You could go on Tuesday or Friday. What's the difference?

You're being too harsh. God is an old man now, and his memory plays tricks on him sometimes. It would be kinder to stay quietly in the background and let him enjoy his twilight years.

YHVH did not back out. The "Jews" never fulfilled the conditions. Then after their spiritual adultery, He divorced them, and then had to die before He could take them back.
