I'm 14 years old and I'm in France for experiencing how its like, I originally live in America. I am not really in good terms with the family Im living with here, and all the stores are closed. I dont want to waste my time on the computer all day, especially on Christmas. What do you do if you're spending XMAS 'alone'?

First of all, remember to never return to France. French people in my experience are difficult to stay on good terms with in general. Many of them dislike Americans and tend to show this by being little snot heads. The way you're being treated on Christmas considering you're a visitor, should be testimony of their ways. They don't like our humor and almost every French girl I've met has been a user.

What you can do on Christmas while you're alone is watch Christmas shows on T.V. It's probably going to be in French, so I hope you know the language. You can also listen to Christmas music.

Another thing you can do is get out a pen and paper and write to someone over here in the good ol' US of A. Maybe even get some glue and project paper to make homemade belated Christmas gifts/cards for them or you can make happy New Year cards.

Sing Christmas songs out loud to yourself. Make sure you sing them in English!

Decorate the room you're living in to make it appear Christmasy. Also remember to add some red, white and blue to the decorations.

Have a Merry Christmas!

I'm sorry to hear that, a very Merry Christmas from me to you. I'm not sure what you can do in France, but I am helping out at a local community centre to keep busy. Online is probably the only option unless you can talk to friends on the phone for a bit.

Best wishes

Merry Christmas!!! well you could go on-line, sit down and watch movies, listen to music, well i suggest that if you have friends, that you should ask them if you can spend Christmas, that what last year my friend did, she spent Christmas and new year with us, because she had no one to spend it with, well i hope that any of theses suggestion works,
MERRY X MAS! to you!

I think I would get a really good fiction book and lose myself in it. I have been in a lot of countries, but not France. I have an open email, if you could email me and tell me all about France, I would really appreciate it.

I'm sorry you're alone on Christmas. Do something that makes you happy, and remember, Christmas isn't always "merry" for everybody. Hugs...Merry Christmas :-)

It depends where you are in France ...

You can go to the train station .. ride to Holland or Belgium ... hit the bars till morning .. then back again ...

Merry Christmas :-)
