I know someone who is cancelling their Christmas celebrations because a relative (but not an immediate family member) is dying from cancer. Personally, I feel very badly for this person and family members, but I am wondering if it is not a little extreme to decide you're not doing ANYTHING for Christmas. I'm thinking they should still celebrate Christmas, and just realize it's okay to be sad. Please weigh in with your opinion...still figuring this one out for myself.

according to romans 2:12, those who are not exposed to the word of jesus will not be punished for not believing in him, i.e. a bushman living in the rainforest, who has no means of modern communication with the rest of the world does not have to worry about going to hell. is this really what angers christians about atheists? is it that we've found the loophole in their system. if we are willing to sacrifice ourselves and don't expose our children to christianity, and make it a crime for others to teach it in public schools, there's very little chance they will ever learn any more about christianity than the aforementioned bushman. jesus will be just another name to them. thus, won't they be judged only by their actions and not if they accept jesus? i'm willing to risk going hell if it means my children never have to worry about it. who else is with me?

So I found out my boyfriend will be heading home for Christmas after spending the entire night last night preparing our apartment for the Holiday.
I am excited for him that he gets to go home and spend the Holiday with his family as he has never missed a Christmas with them, but I am hurt because up until last night the plan was for us to spend Christmas together. I can't go home with him because his family lives 1,000 miles away and I can not afford a plane ticket.
Now he wants to have Christmas tonight and I am not in the mood. I have lost all my Christmas spirit. What can I do to stop feeling so hurt and regain my holiday spirit?

In the Modern Scriptures being currently written It says, "You are so great yet your mere sins are greater than you. You will be destroyed by them."

These Modern Scriptures will be found in the next 50 years or so.

Hello

As a psychic myself, I have met many colleagues over the years. There is no one religious foundation or basis that we work from. Each having certain leanings, faiths etc.

I tend to be non religious - but feel a liking for all & respect for all. My own personal basis is Buddhism, more of a philosophy than a religious faith. I work for spirit which underpins all religions so have a belief in a non religious God.

What about you?

Pam

We don't really know what the Lord Jesus Christ looked like. We do however, have a general idea of what a first century Jew looked like.

Where do you suppose the movie industry came up with their "blonde-hair/blue-eyed" Christ?

Don't get me wrong......it's a nice look and all. But I don't think Jesus looked anything like Leaf Garrett..........

What do you think?
Thanks,

Primo

If christians really believe the bible is true. And it is an example of how they are suppose to live, then why don't they act more like the character jesus?

Even the man they claim to have faith in "never said a word," when he was persercuted, so why can't the "new-age christian" shut the hell up?

Did you have to jump through a lot of "hoops" to become licensed or ordained?
I know of a few in different denoms. that were rejected because of mere personality clashes, for instance. You can study, and work, but it's preferred you remain in the pew.

2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

This indicates that the Scripture, the word of God, is the breathing out of God. God's speaking is God's breathing out. Hence, His word is spirit (John 6:63), or breath. Thus, the Scripture is the embodiment of God as the Spirit. The Spirit is therefore the very essence, the substance, of the Scripture, just as phosphorus is the essential substance in matches. We must strike the Spirit of the Scripture with our spirit to catch the divine fire.
As the embodiment of God the Spirit, the Scripture (God's word) is also the embodiment of Christ. Christ is God's living Word (Rev. 19:13), and the Scripture is God's written word (Matt. 4:4).

If You Don't Want To Fall Ill This Christmas, Then Share A Festive Kiss But Don't Shake Hands
ScienceDaily (Dec. 19, 2007) — We've all heard people say 'I won't kiss you, I've got a cold'. But a report just published warns that we may be far more at risk of passing on an infection by shaking someone's hand than in sharing a kiss.
