Irony, sarcasm, satire indicate mockery of something or someone. You know it well Bubba and I think most Britts do too when they are in the mood > Trouble is , its Bubba irony most britts dont get lol ..... has a totally different meaning ;o)

A famous person once said " The UK and the USA are two nations separated by a common language"
We don't get irony we use it to get a reaction. Usually from an American. If you didn't know it is a subtle way of putting someone down. Metaphorically speaking.
Webster's dictionary is a good source of big words. Is that ironic enough?

It could be the sheer absurdity of the question. Irony is the principle currency of communication in Britain. It may be that you don't know what irony is?...which given your question...would be...........
Is Bubba your teddy bear?

"Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs."
Far too intellectual for the likes of us "Brits".

wouldn't it be ironic if your question was deleted especially as it was a question about irony, which in itself is ironic, if you see what I mean...ironically..
