Telling the truth all the time is not a sin. The truth may hurt, but I don't think it is a sin to just not say anything either. If you want to be brutally honest go right ahead, but be careful, words hurt the meek.

This is just a dumb question. Use some common sense here, first off, if you're christian, why would you even think that not lying would be a sin, even if you are telling the truth. Secondly, if you've been on this planet for more than 5 minutes you should know that the truth does hurt, sometimes.

The Bible says to speak the truth IN LOVE!
So, it depends on your motive. I can say something that is true, but if I say it out of hatred, or it causes a christian brother to stumble, that`s not speaking in love and very well could be sinful! Truth is good with the right motive!
And yes truth hurts sometimes! Sinners don`t want to be told that they are sinning, but that doesn`t mean that we are supposed to tell them that everything they do is ok if it`s sin!

regrettably even christian will be talebearers and backbiters. They hear the present gossip and tell others that's a actuality sister Susie instructed me the former day (basically because sister Susie or brother invoice tell the present gossip would not make it actual).Telling the "truth" isn't a superb opportunity to inform them basically what you imagine about the problem.Your opinion would properly be thoroughly incorrect. If a females ask her husband if her new gown makes her seem thinner what does the husband say if she does no longer seem thinner. certain the reality might want to study 100% of the time by actual christians.circumstances received't continually make that straightforward.Opinion and gossip are hardly ever actuality and truth.

You should always tell the truth. It shows honesty. Even if you hurt somebodies feelings, it would hurt them more if they found out that you lied.

Personally I'm an existentialist. So in my view of the world there is no "sin", only consequences that come from your personal actions and choices.

And yes the truth often hurts, such is life.

Better to cause a little pain and bring a person to see the truth than to indulge self-destructive behavior in others.
