If christians really believe the bible is true. And it is an example of how they are suppose to live, then why don't they act more like the character jesus?

Even the man they claim to have faith in "never said a word," when he was persercuted, so why can't the "new-age christian" shut the hell up?

I don't know if I am an athiest or not -

I am damm sure however that the bible is in no way got anything to do with god and nor does any other religous book

That said I think there probably is life out there - spirit life forms such a ghosts of people or other things of that nature

But there is no reason for me to believe that spirit world is any better orginized than the fleshy one

I am not saying there is I am not saying there isn't - just that I am open to the idea - and again that has nothing to do with the bible the quran or whatever scriptures are out there

It is a big maybe for me

So - does that make me an athiest or a bible rejecting agnostic ?

Where I'm coming from: I'm not remotely religious.
However Jesus isnt a character, you moron, historically a real person. Whether you care to believe what christians believe occured in his lifetime is up to you, but calling him a character is just ignorant.
Christians who don't fail, understand that responding to the heretic is inviting yourself to be trapped by their lies and worldly ways. This is why they are supposed to refrain from debating their religion with "hethens"
Just like any human being though, they are weak and sometimes falter, it happens.
And you're still a moron.

I try to.

and I believe Duchess is telling the truth...

I am also an Atheist, so I am not forced to believe its ok for people to be tortured for disbelief or being misled. Which makes my outlook on mankind and the future a little more positive.

Your second paragraph is wrong. Jesus was no shrinking violet. He threw money changers out of the temple. He told powerful Jewish leaders they were going to hell.

On the internet I am 6'2" a man made of steel.
In real life I am a 5'3" woman made of Twinkies.

everyone misrepresents themselves in one way or another, but those who don't try to be flashy are the ones who are probably being the most truthful. those who are making the greatest effort to announce to the world how devout or chaste or holy they are are probably not being so devout or chaste or holy. there's no reason to announce that fact so loudly, unless it is hard for the person to think it is true, and they are desperately clinging to their self-regard in the face of something they think they did wrong

For the most part yes. I question illogic and misconceptions where ever I see it. I do it politely here and in real life. And if all that someone is saying here or in real is "I believe or don't believe" I don't think there is a whole lot anyone can say about it as long as they not saying "believe like me".

because it is sooo much easier to use religious text to judge and persecute others than live by the teachings of the text and transform the self from within... its about quantity conversion not quality in such cases

I do.

I can't speak for the "Christians" though.

They probably are a bunch of Jesus freaks though......that would explain how Bush won two terms.
