i think what they should do is when they catch a john picking up a prostitue .is to seaze there cars and make them pay a 10.000 fine .then with the money form that .have it set in a fund for a help center to get them women off the street and rehab for drug addictions what do you think?

I am a Christian, and always hear my fellow Christians attacking Atheists and Agnostics. The people I know who are Atheist/Agnostic, however, are pretty indifferent to God; disbelief is just a small aspect of their lives.
Why do some people think that these people hate God? Does anyone else think it is un-Christian to judge these people? Shouldn't we leave that up to God Himself??

For Christmas my humorous 16 year old asked for a trip to the playboy mansion. He knows he will not be receiving this gift however, I want to give him something to laugh about so I am doing a gag. I have a certificate of stock signed by the man himself. I am now looking for a replica of the key to the mansion, or any other item that has to do with the mansion--other than the girls---that boys would like.

I hear so many people get down about the holidays. I can see why. It's gotten so silly with the fighting over the PC terms and paying 3 grand for an Elmo doll. But I came from a poor military family so the holidays rarely had anything to do with gifts. Its about the lights, and the music and the food and the fire and the family. It's about hot choclate and turkey and silly carold and music. It's about eggnog and that freaking AWESOME french vanilla whipped cream that they only put out once a year (what is up with that any ways?) It's about my grandmothers pies, and sitting in the living room at 5 am with nothing but the tree lights on. It about telling the silly stories that go along with each ornament that goes on the tree (Yeah I have a story for them all, I'm sad)
So what do the holidays mean to you (outside of religion and presents)?

I was raised lutheran and i go to a lutheran church so i should know the answer to this but what is the difference between lutherans and christians.I beleive in god and jesus christ and i know its the same thing christians beleive so I dont know what the difference is except that i am lutheran.

I got fired from my (crappy) job, and I have NOOOO money, I don't want to have to explain to my 6 & 4 year old daughters that they wern't "Naughty" or that Santa doesn't "like" them because I haven't the means to buy them any presents, shoot, I can't even afford gas in my car! It sucks, and I'm tired of crying about it. I am embarassed to even be posting this, 'cause usually I'm the donator, or the 'helper' not the 'helpee' you know? But if ANYONE knows of any churches or anything that might help last minute, PLEASE let me know, I've never had to go to them for help, so I don't know how it works, and I didn't realize that it's pretty much too late, that you would have had to sign up like back in October to get help (back when I HAD a good job & money), but my girls are good girls, and they deserve a good Christmas...If ANYONE knows any places, PLEASE email me and let me know! Apparently some people think atheism means being a total materialist. Others (including myself) see it as more like pantheism. That is, there is a spiritual life, but there is no Big Boss Daddy sort of God. The word "God" could maybe be applied to the universe itself, which is pantheism. So am I inconsistent to say I believe in human souls but I am an atheist?

I hear all the time "well you just didn't read your Bible" (read it cover to cover) "You didn't ask sincerly enough" (Really? I was DYING. You dont really get more sincere then that) I am told I am in denial of the "truth" (oh, I didn't realize that you watched me bleed out).
Do I think Christianity is "wrong"? Nope. I've met people who I have NO doubt have been called by God *Cheers to Father K and Primero* but I can't stand how people just assume they know my story, my pain, or my life. Just because I don't see the divine as you do, I didn't TRY hard enough? Why do some Christians just make totally off base assumptions?
