In other words, how does one become a Christian? Did they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and accept Him into their hearts? What does the Bible say?

Maybe it's beacuse I live in New Jersey, close to NYC, but people around me are startign to resemble satan and society is getting extremely bad. People are angry, you can't trust them, everyone is suing everyone for every little thing, and people are just becoming bad in general.

I want to be happy and successful, but I simply can't go on without somehow handling it.

Just yesterday I was getting my hair done, and one of the hairdressers started crying and was like "the client told me that she didnt like the job and was going to go to her car, get a gun,and kill me, and stormed out of the store without paying," etc.

Another lady said, "these days people are weird, expect everything."

What is going on?

Have times always been like this?

I'm 26, and I noticed a steady decline in this past decade.

Were the 80s and 90s any better?

Also, how do we deal with this B*llshit?

Everyone seems to be judging everyone else, and life seems to be very competitive.

I always do...unless the link is a home page, and I have to search through it to find what I am looking for. I will look it over for maybe two minutes, and if I can't figure out how to navigate to what I am looking for, that's it. I'm done.

Atheists might say "we lived our life with truth and logic"
Believers might say "we lived our life with blind faith"
if there exist life after death (hell & heaven) or vice versa

It is not pushing my religion on to them. This is a simple question. Going alone to church is fine too. To me, going to church on Christmas Eve is celebrating Jesus' Birth and giving him all the glory. I do not believe it is a selfish thing to do since I put God first instead of me.

this is a serious question. i'm not trying to take stabs at either side here. i'm curious to know who is really more insulted? the atheists, from the idea that many christians and other religions believe we are doomed to eternal hellfire and torture because we don't want to believe what they believe? or is the christians and other religions, who believe that everything they have good in their lives is because they were blessed by god, and then see atheists who can live good lives without believing in a god?

I just moved into my new house afew months ago and seem to have some bad luck with the new items I've bought..first my TV broke down before I'd even watched it, my friend broke my cup and bowl. I broke my new kettle when cleaning it, my heater broke down, i bought a new one which burnt my new airbed when i was pumping it for a friend. my bathroom tiles just fell off. surely something must be wrong somewhere. what do you think?
