I really want to know why you make this faulty generalization. I'm a Christian. I don't hate Muslims.
We don't live in peace partly because of questions like this one that get people all stirred up.
I DO have an answer: look at children.
I've taught for 26 years.
Children know more about this than adults. Children forgive and forget. They do not hold grudges. They always want to help. They laugh easily. |
Jesus was right: Become as a child.

I don't hate Muslims or anyone else. I do not like the hatred that comes from Islam. I don't like that Muslims feel they have the right to force their beliefs on us, through violence at times. They come right out and tell Christians and Jewish people that what we consider Holy is corrupt. That's fine if that's what they believe, but they don't want us to say the same to them. If we do, then we are labeled as racist (which makes no sense, lol), haters or Islamophobes. I mean, they expect us to revere Muhammad they way they do and that will never happen! The hypocrisy is annoying.
The day Muslims realize that Islam can and should be criticized and that we don't have to believe in what they believe is the day there will be peace. I'm sorry to say that probably won't happen any time soon.

Not all do. The bad part of that is the minority who do think hate is all right are the ones who make the evening news.
Why can't we live in peace? My opinion is arrogance. As long as people think that their opinions about God and spirituality are the ONLY valids ones to believe, there will be turmoil, hate and separation.
Hate and separation are 2 of the things Jesus taught against.

Christians do love Muslims & pray for them a lot & i am sure
there are many Muslims who love Christians & are just afraid
to say so for fear of reprisals.
Why we cannot live in peace is because of many greedy,
power hungry leaders & politicians who do not want peace,
its bad for their pockets, they live high on the land so to speak
& the peasants suffer, like Mugabe calls the poor & illiterate
people of his country. So it is in all countries of the world.

The answer is that in general they do not. Respectful discussions with Muslims are usually good and without anger. however recently political factors have soured the relationships. Radical Imans angered by the invasion of Iraq by the allies and the desperate poverty in Palestine have been preaching hate. And some Christian leaders who should know better have not been slow to respond

the people of the u.s. must come to understand that islamic people do not want or will fight for democracy. almost all islamic countries are rule by kings and dictators. its the way of life they want. until the west realizes that, there is going to be hate. i feel people deserve the type of gov. they have. the u.s. should pull out of iraq and let the people in iraq live in blissful peace. just like before the americans got there.

*Some* Muslims hate Christians because we are considered infidels and are worthy of death according to the Quran. *Some* Christians hate Muslims because they have been brainwashed to think that all Muslims are terrorists etc etc, and they obviously haven't read, or don't believe, all the Bible passages that teach us not to hate people.
People hate because we are all sinful humans, and there is no way for us to find peace, not until Jesus returns. He will bring peace. I think He is the only one who can. Humans have been trying to make peace forever and it just hasn't happened yet.

Simple answer to this simple Q---
They both want to convert the world to their bigoted thinking.
At least the christians do not resort to mind less violence and hurt innocent people as Muslims(the so called minority) do.

Muslims don't like Jews, because Jews think they are Gods chosen race, they don;t like Christians because Christians think that Jesus was the son of God, Christians don't like Muslims, because we have been at odds with each other for control of nations for over a thousand years, Jews side with Christians, because they are a minority and live predominately among Christians.

Muslims hate Christians because Abrahams first child Ishmael did not Get the Promise or inherit the full blessings of God because Abraham had this Child on his own behalf with a Egyptians Servant and didn't listen to God's promise that Sarah would conceive............So the Enmity between the two are because tradition says the first born would inherit the Blessings.......... but in this case this child was born through impatience and unbelief in God's promises...........and the bible says THE off spring of the Ishmael's (Muslims) would be a wild man.So jealousy is the prime facter.........For they both desire the blessing of there Father but we know that Hagar which is Ishmael's Mother was not of the Hebrew tribe.......intermixing was prohibited back then........because of possible Pagan influence.
Now as far as the Christian hating.........I just think in order to protect your self and those you love....... deperate measures must be taken to protect your home.
But i know the government has there own perogative but that shouldn't be mixed up with true Christianity.
So there you have it in a nut shell
Peace out
