At http://www.discovery.org/scripts/viewDB/filesDB-download.php?command=download&id=660 there is a list of skeptics against Darwinian Evolution. Now given, some of the people there have degrees that have nothing to do with anything that could be connected to Evolution. But there are a number of people whose degrees show that they understand the theory, and yet they have the courage to defy the high priests of academia by voluntarily adding their names to a skeptics list against Darwinism.

And although this does not prove God exists, it does prove that there are educated people who don't believe in the fairy tale for grown-ups.

Why are the only persons allowed into the Vatican, Italy's heaven in the sky unmarried women nuns and unmarried men monks all Italian Catholic only.

Isn't that 100% opposite of what Jesus Christ (aka God) and the Holy Bible teach?

The bible says:
Galatians 3:28 - There is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

But then says:
1 Timothy 2:11-15 - Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.

Sorry, that second one's pretty archaic and offensive, but it's in there.

ok so i met this girl in our public library, and now we have been dating for 2 months, I am 17 but I live with my 26 year old cousin with my parent's consent and I pay the rent too, she is not my girlfriend yet since I will be going to college this fall sem and I don't have my own house yet for her to move in but I really feel that we have this "connection". She is an Atheist I am a Christian, I don't have a problem with that, now I told my parents that I will introduce her to them during this Christmas celebration, and when I told them she is an atheist they told me to stop seeing her!! and out of my anger I went out the door and never picked up their calls one time my mom mentioned that i will go to hell for going out with her(or did she said "yoking") now my Girl is asking what happened and I just lied about it so that i will not upset her, now for my question; What is the problem with Atheists??? coz other than beliefs I don't think there is anything wrong???

Think about it…The WHOLE POINT of running around telling everyone that they are going 2 hell is so that THEY will go to heaven after they die…Why is death BAD then?

Those Christians in Colorado have become Martyrs to the cause… Their deaths should be celebrated by the “I deny myself any type of pleasure on earth so I can experience the joy of the afterlife”. It has only given more air-time 2 their cult… oh, excuse me, their mainstream religion.

It is the same as how I can’t comprehend why people were upset when the last Pope died… He was the VOICE OF THE CHRISTIAN GOD ON EARTH

What do u think happened to him after he died? If you believe in Christianity then *GASP* he is up-stairs chilling w/God! WHY would that be a bad thing?I sn’t his passage 2 the afterlife the 1 THING he had been living his life in preparation of?

A man wanted to buy his wife a unique birthday present. So one day, he went into a pet store looking for a parrot. The salesperson showed the man to a very beautiful parrot. "This is the only parrot we have, and his name is, Chet."

"He's beautiful!" cried the man, "Does he do any tricks?"

"Yes he does," answered the salesman. "If you put a lighted match under his right foot, Chet will sing 'Jingle Bells.' And if you put a lighted match under Chet's left foot, he will sing 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.'"

"Amazing!" exclaimed the man, and he bought the parrot immediately. That night, the man showed his wife the parrot that he'd bought, and said, "This is Chet."

"Oh, what a gorgeous bird! Does he know any tricks?" asked the wife. The man smiled and said, "Watch this."

Then he lit a match and put it under Chet's right foot. Sure enough, the parrot began to sing, 'Jingle Bells. 'Then he put the match under Chet's left foot, and he began to sing 'Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.'

"That's incredible! Does he do anything else?" the wife asked.

"I don't know, lets see," replied the man. So he lit another match and put it between the bird's legs. The parrot started singing, "Chet's nuts roasting on an open fire."

Would you take the woodburning stove to cook and heat, the 12+ hours manual labor to the electric heat, and office jobs...the nostaligia and hard life, but "more laid back times" or the modern and easier physical work, but "stressful existence"?

Given the great knowledge of Scripture shown and claimed by so very many people here, I wish to have your commentary on the following passages.

Of course, since you are all true experts, you will need no mere "translations".

my husband and i have had financial issues for a long time.

just over the last couple of weeks, he missed 4 days of work because he was sick. we were worried about the finances, yet again.

just two days ago, on sunday after the evening service at our church, someone gave us a big box that was wrapped up.

on it a tag said something like "we've prayed, asking God who He would like to bless this year and your family came to mind."

it had a turkey, pot roasts, chicken, ham, canned goods, an outfit for our son, and toddler snacks for our son.

it also had an amount of money.....the exact amount of money that my husband had missed from work.

it really humbles you when someone does this. it's wonderful to know that God uses other people to bless you, instead of doing it all on His own.

Does baptism (done correctly) cleans us of our sins, and brings the indwelling of the Holy Spirit or is it just something we do to obey Christ when He said to "go into all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit"?

My seven year old son still believes but he is starting to ask some tough questions. Do you have any good suggestions to keep him believing as long as possible? For example, he asked why a present from Santa says"made in China" when it was supposed to be from the north pole. We told him Santa subcontracts some of his work out to other countries since he can't possibly make ALL the toys in his own workshop.
