Because the word "racist" is being used for political agenda reasons:

....Some people like George Galloway and of course immigrants want to fill the UK with as many 3rd world people as can be packed in.

........They realise that this will be something the indigenous people will not want after they have spent so many centuries building the UK to be such a rich and advanced country.

......So they use the word "racist"against anybody who speaks out against their political agenda.

.......I personally can't stand the ideology of Islam for example, this is not racist, Islam is not a race

.......Don't let them get away with it

Racist is a strong word used by certain races to get what they want. It has become a powerful word even when used incorrectly. Fact is if you say anything bad about a person from certain races you are labeled a racist. Anyways those that lead race inspired groups like to label you a racist if you speak out against any of their goals because it silences you and ruins your credibility by making people think what you say stems from hate not fact.

I agree with the previous poster - immigrants are fine; the illegal ones aren't. Unless you're indicating a particular group of people, that's not racist - it's your opinion and you're entitled to that.

The word "racist" is misused to stop people speaking out against the masses of 3rd world people from failed countries now flooding into the UK

1. Everyone in America is either an immigrant or sons and daughters of immigrants....unless your family is Native American.

2. When someone says they "don't like immigrants", they are usually referring to people with dark skin. Those are the only immigrants they recognize easily...can't tell a German or French or Italian immigrant by the color of skin...therefore, that person is using racial profiling...which is racist and bigoted.

Putting a label on a person simply because of the skin color or accent is racism at it's worst.

Because ANY type of generalisation are not correct to make.
Because everybody must be seen as an individual human being.
And what do you mean you dont like immigrants?
You can't just put it out like that!
You mean all the Europeans who lives and works in the UK, are banned from being here?
What happened to the sharing?

they say the answer is in the question. in your case, it's in the second half of your sentence: for not liking immigrants. let me spell it out: they call you racist because you do not like immigrants instead of having a sound political ideology. you can like or dislike people as individuals, to dislike a group due to skin colour or language shows a lack of intelligence. i would be interested in reading your explanation of the difference.
