I broke my new kettle when cleaning it, my heater broke down, i bought a new one which burnt my new airbed when i was pumping it for a friend. my bathroom tiles just fell off. surely something must be wrong somewhere. what do you think?

Welcome to the real world.

Everything breaks.

As far as the house - are you renting or did you buy it?

If you are renting, then you can try to get the landlord to fix things like the tile (though that will depend on the landlord, and how good you are at talking people into stuff). If you bought it, you should have inspected it better (or had someone who knew what they were doing inspect it - you can get a warranty to cover some things too). Tiles are easy to glue back on, some other things might require someone who knows what they are doing to fix.

Speaking of warranties, if your new tv failed, either take it back to where you bought it and demand that htey repair or replace it. Either that or contact the manufacturer and do the same.

Plates, cups, and kettles break if you drop them. Maybe get some that are more sturdy (or made of something unbreakable). You can keep your nice stuff for special occasions.

Portable heaters are dangerous (as you found out) and are not generally very reliable, though depending on your circumstances, you might not have a choice - if the house has central heat/air, or some other kind of HVAC, then make sure it is clean and working properly - change filters. If the equipment is malfunctioning, it may need repair or replacement.

There are tons of websites and books dedicated to 'do it yourself' type stuff - if you are renting, you probably want to keep projects to a minimum (since you don't want to spend a bunch of money and time fixing up someone elses house). If it's yours though, then it is an investment.

Superstitious nonsense about a house being 'bad luck' won't get you anywhere - looking for solutions, and solving problems will!

Good 'luck'!! :)

Aww Lulu... "my new house" not my new home?
Do a smudge ceremony, burn some sagebrush and walk through your whole house room to room to cleanse the house with a bit of smoke and see off any bad energy from the previous people who lived there or on or the land it's built on...that should help.
Sprinkle some rock salt crystals or sea salt crystals around the along the walls to absorb negativity, it may even be your own negativity that needs absorbing.
You don't have to believe it but just taking some cleansing action will make things feel right again psychologically...but these things are said by some to work and I find they do even though I don't have belief in them...go figure.
I'd say you are just having trouble settling in and this is part of the settling process, decide you are staying and nothing is going to make you budge, it's your house now, yell it out loud a few times so there's no confusion anywhere "This is my house, this is my home".
I'm an atheist, but I believe in creative solutions to problems

You didn't say if you are renting or buying. If you just bought this new house, I hope you told the seller about all the things that went wrong with the house, so that he/she can fix them for you. Think of it as being lucky, if you are able to get them replaced, because of them not working. Lucky, because you should have the ability to get them fixed or replaced by the seller, right away, since it happened right away, instead of a few months from now. Your t.v. should be replaced from where you bought it, since it has a warranty from the company that made it, and whatever store you bought it from must fultill the warranty for you. (Be glad it happened right away!). I am sure it all seems like bad luck to have all this happen when you first moved in. Burning your new airbed and the friend breaking your new cup and bowl cannot be fixed by someone else.............but, the tiles should be replaced right away by the seller. Here's hoping that all the bad things have happened and that your new home is wonderful for you. I don't think you have any worries about the house being 'bad' for you to live in.

Well the bible speaks of time and unforeseen occurrence that befall all of us. it's at Ecclesiastes 9:11. and as far as the tiles maybe you guys didn't check that house as thoroughly as you should have, buyer beware. also there could be a leaking pipe behind the wall, they'll cause tiles to fall off. but Assume you're christian like since you're asking questions in this section sooo with that in mind don't give the god of luck any "props" (as they call it) the bible call luck a god, and it's not the one you should give anything to.
Isaiah 65:11 says ..“But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny.
I think you just need to check things more carefully and be a little more careful with what you're doing, and if you have a receipt, take that t.v. back to the store. did any water or anything get in it? where was it before you moved, storage? in storage after a t.v. or computer or monitor sits for a little while wheres there may be dampness in the air, they wont work anymore (i know). There's nothing wrong with a little prayer though, at least to make you feel better.

I'm sorry. I can't read your message. Is it possible that your computer is broken?

Just kidding.

Luck happens in spurts. Except for the heater burning your airbed (a bit of negligence on your part), the rest are just random events, perhaps helped along by your own unfamiliarity with the surroundings.

Two weekends ago, my house was broken into (resulting in about $3000 theft), my car was hit in a parking lot ($600 damage), and my dog got food poisoning, all within about 36 hours. These are just random. Most of the time, I've been pretty lucky.

Try to enjoy your new house.

But check out the wiring, nonetheless ... just to be on the safe side.

Those are just coincidences. The more bad things the more you'll justify them. There is no such thing as bad luck. You're just going through the wear stages of products...

Sometimes things just happen. However if you keep thinking something to the affect of what will happen next something else negative will. Change your thought to positive. Hey talk to your house and tell it how much you appreciate it. Who knows maybe that will help.
