Science doesn't know enough about evololution and what formed everything. They have theories.
Religion's have faith. No one knows. To claim that you know without a doubt is presumptuous.
How can faith be the proof of things not seen? There are so many different faiths?
So if no one really knows please stop arguing it is pointless.

Does it mean the Great Amen is Amun-Ra, or some other Sun God from the Egyptian Pagan Pantheon? Were the "Elohim" of the bible just old references to pre Egyptian polytheistic Hebrew gods?

I want to get myself something... Ive worked hard all year... Im only 19 and right after highschool I started working to help out my family... and have money for myself... With all the omissions, alterations, variances, additions, uninspired myths and opinions in the Bible...are people who stubbornly maintain the Bible is the perfect word of God just trying to flex their imagined Piety?

But you know what's not funny (other than that joke)? Pedophile Rape. It doesn't matter how you spin it, it's just horrible. These are real crimes, with real victims who've really been raped. STOP CRACKING JOKES ABOUT THEM.

I'm all for exposing the story, and discussing the issue, but in the name of all that you may or my not find holy, stop discussing these tragedies (whose victims continue to suffer) in any way other than with the gravity they deserve. Do NOT, whatever your proclivities may be, use these horrible situations as a "got cha!" point against Catholics. That's just sick.

To avoid this being called a "rant", is there anyone who can think of a reason why cracking a "Catholic Priest-with-alter-boy" joke would ever be appropriate?

I openly condone Santa. If you follow the Bible you know. My husband and children are not born again but I have faith they will see God's love through my behavior.

I don't believe in Christmas stockings for the tale falls back on the lie of santa.

I would like to have three boxes/trunks that I decorate with gold ribbon and in rememberance of the gifts the three wise men bestowed on him .... have a large box, a medium box, a small box .... and place those "stocking gifts" in those.

My husband will not allow me to take down the stockings. I will not fight or argue since he disagreed with my feelings on this. I will only leave the stockings and place my gifts to the children in the boxes. My children know the lie of Santa and why I don't practice it in our home. I don't like lies. I will raise honest children through Christ.

Do you think this is a good idea. My spirit says yes because this act is of a kind heart and I do not want anything that would be idolatry or a lie. Love

of Scientology, Christian Science, Mormonism, etc., but we have only a one-sided picture of Jesus. It doesn't seem fair, does it? (Noone should claim that Jesus had no faults since it is impossible to prove, and makes no sense anyway.)
