My parents hesitated on getting me it and mattel pulled it off the shelves, so I'm assuming it'd be worth a small fortune now, in spite of the new "Maternity Midge" doll they came out with a few years back

Why would God ask Abraham to kill his son in order to prove his faith and if God does ask people to sin how are you to know that direction comes from Him?

Might some parent kill their child under the crazy misconception that theiir sinful ideas are from God?

I'm glad I'm not a lawyer. That is a tempting excuse. How can we ever know?

Do you ever put out a 'fleece', to test if it is really GOD's will?

likewise, is it okay to piecemeal aspects of a variety of religions on one's path to find God/Enlightenment?

"Historically, Jews and Christians alike have held that Moses was the author/compiler of the first five books of the OT. These books, known also as the Pentateuch (meaning "five-volumed book"), were referred to in Jewish tradition as the five fifths of the law (of Moses). The Bible itself suggests Mosaic authorship of Genesis, since Ac 15:1 refers to circumcision as "the custom taught by Moses," an allusion of Ge 17. However, a certain amount of later editorial updating does appear to be indicated (see, e.g., notes on 14:14; 36:31; 47:11). (From the NIV Bible Commentary, page 2)"

So in reality, the book of Genesis had been tampered with by man. It had been corrupted. It is dangerous to consider all of it as the True Living Words of GOD Almighty, because by doing so, we are running into the risk of committing a crime against Him since we are claiming that He spoke words that He never spoke.

Do we continue to believe even though we know that there are like 4 different versions

I hate being in close proximity to 'mouth-breathers.' I say nothing to them. Just let them breath away. But it seriously drives me nuts. Hey, if your sick its understandable and somehow that makes it easier. But if you are out of shape and are required to breath from your mouth while sitting at your desk, you have issues! Is this just me? Am I being uber insensitive?

I need to lighten my dim mood here folks.

Who has no objection to wearing real fur?
Are you a proud fur wearer or unfaltering activist against it?
Or perhaps ambivalence towards this issue.

Men, you are not excluded from this question! :-)

you see, so many of them loved mel gibsons "Passion of the Christ" many fundamentalists bought the movie the day it came out, and instructed their families to watch it. How is it then, that I can bare to tell them that this movie was based on hethenistic evil catholic ideas and visions. Sure enough Mel Gibson used more than just the bible, but used a great deal of the Catholics mystics works in creating this film as well, should one expect a huge "burning of The Passion DVD" soon?

I'm going to lunch by myself for the first time with a representative of a place that does business with the company I work for. Her name is Jenny, and she's very laid back and easy-going like me, so I'm not worried about conversation. She told me to pick the place that we're going to eat, and her company will foot the bill... I know it sounds trivial, but what is an appropriate place to have lunch? Should I go for a mediocre steak house? Something high end? Something cheap? Should I avoid ordering anything pricey? What is the proper business lunch etiquette when you're not the one who is paying?

If you are an American Caucasian woman with a curiosity about African-American men, would you talk about said curiosity with as much detail as possible. Thanks in advance to all who answer.
