Jesus Christ is the "only-begotten" of the Father.
There is a special Greek word for this "monogenes", which distinguishes Jesus' Sonship from any other sonship. In one sense we are all offspring of God, according to our natural derivation from Adam, who is called the son of God. The angels also are called sons of God. However in another sense the Bible describes the moral character of men as being "sons of the Devil" (see John 8:44 and Ephesians 2:1-3).
This is the result of sin.
This is why Jesus said: "You must be born again."
We must be born of the (Holy) Spirit to become children of God.

"He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. "
John 1:11-13 NIV

God the Son. He is also my Best Friend. He is a Brother who sticks closer than anyone else. What do you think of Him? We are not the same level because Jesus is Perfect and Holy example. Christians follow Jesus. God bless!

We are not all God's children. Only those that have accepted Jesus are God's children. With respect to being on the same level as Jesus. Hardly. We are however joint heirs with Jesus Christ. To show that we are NOT all God's children look at how Jesus addressed the pharisees in Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. as opposed to Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

If you mean like a parent loving their children all the same, then yes. God loves us all. But we are not on the same level as Jesus in the sense that he was without sin, we are not, no matter how good we are.

Yes, I believe we are.

Conversations with God, by Neale Donald Walsh is a very interesting book that addresses this subject among many, many more. You should check it out.

One excerpt is very interesting:

" He (Jesus) allowed himself to be crucified in order that he might stand as man's eternal salvation. "Look," he said, "at what I can do. Look at what is true. And know that these things, and more, shall you also do. For have I not said, ye are Gods? Yet you do not believe. If you cannot, then, believe in yourself, believe in me."

From that it seems that Jesus suggested we are all level with him, we just don't believe it. Thus, we can look to him as an example of what we are really capable of achieving. Interesting Stuff.

Maybe we should all start acting a little more like Jesus instead of trying to debate whether we can ever be "as good" as him :)

--Best Wishes

Well theoretically we would be either brothers or sisters of Jesus. And that also brings up another point, if we are all children of God, then God had sex with Mary (one of his children) and had an inbred son Jesus. But then God has never been against incest, just look at Lot and his daughters, Adam and Eve, Noah, etc. God hates orgies as he destroyed Sodom & Gamorrah, but incest is ok in his books.

Well, Jesus was born with out the sin nature. He is the 'Womans Seed' Genesis3:15. The rest of us are born with the sin nature. Though we don't willfully sin against God as babes (all children born into this world has seen the True Light (John1)); we usually all rebel against Gods love & truth at the age of accountability. And the conscequence is spiritual death (hardened conscience).

Jesus said we need to be born again (from above) to see the Kingdom of God. We need an atonement for our sins. We have all sinned and have gone our own way. Our sins have separated us from God. The wages of sins is death.

Jesus, being born of the Womans Seed & conceived of the Holy Spirit, was born without the sin nature. So? He was tempted like the first Adam. But Jesus never sinned. He is the 'Lamb of God', without spot or blemish. So? Since Jesus bore our sins on the cross (Isaiah53) sin & death couldn't keep Jesus in the grave. Jesus raised from the dead. So? When we confess Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior & believe in our hearts He raised from the dead, we will be saved. Meaning that we are then born from above, Gods Way. Born of the Spirit & cleansed by His Blood. Joint Heirs with King Jesus & made part of the family of God. Then we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of Promise unto redemption day.

God has highly exalted Him with the Name above all Names, that at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow & tongue confess, "Jesus Christ is Lord." To the Glory of God the Father.

We are sons and daughters of God and Jesus is our brother. Some of us just behave better than others. Jesus behaved the best.

Jesus can become part of us inside when we are truly saved and we can speak like him, but we are not free from sin like he was, so we can never truly be Christ, only a believer who has repented from sins. The light will then shine through us.

The children of God are all who follow Jesus.
