My parents assume that when they see a black man in a non suburban area, they have a gun their pockets. Please don't tell me that's racist ....... cmon now. These kids in my school think Japanese and Koreans are the richest asians in America while cambodians, filipinos, laotians, etc are the poorest, dirtiest, etc who can't live for ****. I don't know if that is true but either way that is so racist, we are all hard working.

Suppose you are running out of a burning building, inside of which are still (a) your six-year-old sister and (b) a small jar containing ten human embryos. You can save either your sister or the jar of embryos, but not both. Whom would you save, and why? (Justify your answer.)

**I am pro-life and somebody asked me this question in a debate. Although I think that I would save my sister, I'm wondering if anybody has any insights on what is the morally right thing to do in this situation.

was it argues that it wasn't falsfiable then ironically argued that it had been falsified in the same Dover court preceding. It is also a claim made by Kenneth Miller and notice Richard Dawkins title in the Blind watchmaker: Why the evidence of evolution reveals a Universe without design?

Some data suggest that the number of new converts each year is matched by the number of members who go inactive. For example:

http://www.gc.cuny.edu/faculty/images/image019.gif

(If you're an active Mormon, you must know full well that general authorities themselves are deeply concerned about the growing numbers of inactive Latter-day Saints--suggesting that the data above are believed even by them.)

Isn't this a problem for people who believe Joseph Smith was a prophet?

this question came out of nowhere to me yesterday...
Why do you think Jesus was sent to Israel out of all the places on earth? Why there? why in the middle east??
why not from a black (no offense) family? or an asian family?
Anyone have any theories?

I have a question for Jews. If I was a Jew, I think I would feel as though billions of people in the world had hijacked my religion. According to Abrahamaic tradtion, God's covenant was with Jews. Others have adopted the Jewish writings, added to them and created their own religions all stemming from God's covenant with the Jews. To make matters worse, these "Jew" wannabees (use the Jewish scripture for their own religion), believe the Jews are wrong and their religion, developed primarily from Judaism, is the correct one.

Is this not a huge insult to Jews or am I seeing it all wrong here?

Ok I know this is a long story but I need to do it justice...OK so i am gay (in the closet) and i am not what i would consider the stereotypical gay. I am pretty masculine but i probably have had some suspicion of me, but o well. So i cant just ask every guy if theyre gay and i dont have any girl friends who i would want 2 tell (all gossipers). I do have a sort of gaydar sense (and huge crush) on two guys at my school. I was hoping someone could give me some likelyhood of gayness in them. The first guy seems to be a little out of my league but... he is a really cute blond who a lot of girls have a crush on. However, he doesn't seem 2 interested in them (he had 2 gf's that didn't last 2 long.) He has a lot of girl friends (obviously) who he talks 2 in a seemingly non-flirty way. He does play hockey, but I would 2 if i were good at sports. He wears the same kinda stuff I wear (even the same shoes! non-intentional) Is he really gay or am i just making him out that way cause i want him?

Do you feel that there is something lost in the translation?
If so, do you think, that as language changes and evolves, will more of the original meaning become lost in the future?

I was brought up in christianity, but now I find it very difficult to believe. What do I do? It seems like noone around me has any doubts. But I have a hard time believing any of it.

I myself believe in God, and that He created us.
If you don't believe in God, then how do you think life all began? I'm not trying to question what you believe... I'm just curious.

Does God really want people to pluck out their eyeballs, or is he really just trying to tell you how bad sin is.

Has anyone ever plucked out an eyeball in the last 2000 years?
