Ok I know this is a long story but I need to do it justice...OK so i am gay (in the closet) and i am not what i would consider the stereotypical gay. I am pretty masculine but i probably have had some suspicion of me, but o well. So i cant just ask every guy if theyre gay and i dont have any girl friends who i would want 2 tell (all gossipers). I do have a sort of gaydar sense (and huge crush) on two guys at my school. I was hoping someone could give me some likelyhood of gayness in them. The first guy seems to be a little out of my league but... he is a really cute blond who a lot of girls have a crush on. However, he doesn't seem 2 interested in them (he had 2 gf's that didn't last 2 long.) He has a lot of girl friends (obviously) who he talks 2 in a seemingly non-flirty way. He does play hockey, but I would 2 if i were good at sports. He wears the same kinda stuff I wear (even the same shoes! non-intentional) Is he really gay or am i just making him out that way cause i want him?

Oh and he is in orchestra. He plays the violin.(i guess that dosnt really mean hes gay.) but he is so hot.... please tell me if he could be gay!

Ok guy #2 seems more likely 2 be gay. I know him from drama. He has tons of girl friends who he talks to in a very non flirty and feminine kind of talk. He wears preppy clothes, he plays/played? lacrosse and has a couple of seemingly gay friends. He jokes with the guys with gay stuff A LOT, so its hard to tell if it really is joking or a secret desire. He talks a little gay like and has a little of the gay limp hands. He has joked with me gayily a couple times. like when we were rehearsing the little mermaid for a kids show, i was telling the eel to wrap a leg around ariel when they hold her down too 2 make her seem more trapped and the guy said "Yea like this!" and he came up to me, grabbed me and wrapped a leg around me. my hand was next 2 you know what and it was pretty hot. then when i had to wear friggin tights for my costume, he was like, "hey lookin good. i can see ur nuts! just kidding, but i wish i could!" and i said "you know u do!" i think he might have been joking but...

and there were other gay joking things with me and others but a lot with me. there also is some "inside joke" i guess with him and some ppl that he is gay on wednesday? but he does talk to guys easily which makes me think... ALSO both guys went out with this girl (the eel) and all of her boyfriends have seemed gay. i hope some1 can tell me if im imagining this or if it is likely. Thanks!

yeah, ..you are making him just seen that way in your own mind, ...and unless you want the whole school to know, ..then i'd highly advise you to look elsewhere.......some gay club, or online site for gay men, or whatever, ..but not school. You're setting yourself up for a mess.

Maybe it's a little of both, but since this thing started where straight guys dress like gay guys, it is hard to tell one from the other. In the past it was always a key indicater that guys with lots of girl friends and few guy friends were gay, and also if the girls are really cute and would be considerd his type yet he doesn't make any advances at them, then yeah I would guess he is gay.
It is hard to tell honestly, do you have any gay friends that you caould maybe ask their opinions?

I'm not gay but i think that i can help you. Just because you like him you will try and find ways that he seems to be gay but he most likely is not gay. Like you said he has had 2 gf even though they did not last long that stills dose not mean that he is gay. Let me tell you like i tell some of my friends that are gay just go up to him and ask him if he is gay or not and if he asks why just make something up like some boy wanted to know or something like that.

I dunno ... your in a tough situation ... at that age it is very hard being a homosexual ...please dont just "go out there" - as hard as it is ... you need to face the facts ... if he is gay, there is a reason no one knows ... just like you are gay and no one knows ....teenagers for the majority do not accept different people then themselves or their group of friends....him playing a "manly" sport also doesnt help is confidence in his sexuality ...I hope everything works out for your ...I think your first step is coming out of the closet yourself, rather then worrying about someone else coming out ....also the reasoning for your coming out shouldnt be to get a hot guy .. it should be because your totally comfortable with your sexuality and sadly to say you should be ready for everyone elses perspective on your sexuality ...Please beleive in yourself and dont change because of what people might think of you and whatever ... everyone is different and thats what makes this world unique ....I am not gay but I feel for your situation...feel free to e-mail if you ever just want to talk...cya buddy

He could be gay, he could be straight. It's best to become friends with him first before asking him out. Think of it as gathering intelligence if you feel nervous around him, it helps stop the butterflies in the stomach.

I can see that you're embarrased about being gay. and you should be. do you know why you should be ashamed? because you're hiding it. When you hide something, it's because you KNOW that it's wrong. God made male and female. Adam and Eve. for this reason you're here. not so that you can do what you think you want to do with that body. These bodies we're in were loaned to us and we're expected to take care of them. Now you do what you know is right so that the shame will go away.

i REALLY think he's gay because a lot of gay guys just go out with gurls so no one will kno they r gay. if they don't last long then he is just playing from one to one because he just isn't interested in gurls. if he has a lot of gurl friends but he doesn't talk 2 them in a flirty way then they probably already kno he's gay.

i think ur just making him out to be. y dont u just ask around if this guy is gay. not in a suspicious way, but in a "cant believ e he didnt last with those girls" kind of way.

there's no way you can tell if he's gay. it's very hard. think about hanging out with him more and being friends. maybe you can learn more then. being in the closet creates these kind of problems.
