How wonderful that you know what the Lord has called you to do! Ask the Lord to fill up the emptyness with Him. Sometimes after being hurt we numb ourselves emotionally and put up a wall to prevent being hurt again. But the Lord will give you the victory over the emptyness you feel. Seek His will and soon your heart will overflow with love for God and others. He will fill that emptyness.........I promise!

If you still feel empty then maybe you aren't doing what you were meant to be. Preaching is a good thing but you are obviously not happy or fulfilled. Perhaps you were called to preach just to be led to something else...The Lord works in mysterious ways. You are only 18...you have plenty of exploration to do of the world and of yourself before you should have to make the decision of what to do with the rest of your life. Pray, take your time, and fulfillment will come.

Ryan, often times when we have something bad occure in our lives we tend to over think the matter. However I doubt very much that your doing so. Infact I beleive that GOD may want you to look at your life at this time. See sometimes when we feel empty it's GOD's way of saying, "Okay now please take a moment a reveiw your life and it's direction." I'm not by the way saying that this is the case. However I know from personal experience that when I felt empty taking time to review life made me feel whole again. Even in the cases where by reviewing life I found I had make changes. See those changes often times lead me down a better path. Admittingly on occassion I found myself in a postion that I personally didn't like afterward. However when that happened I took the time to seek GOD's word and it would turn out that GOD wanted me to take a different path. Once I relzed that things could and always did improve. Now I'm not saying by any means that my answer is right but it works for me personally. With your permission and understanding I will be praying for your personal life to fill up and become less empty. I pray that GOD fills your life with love health and wealth. I also recommend that you do remember to thank GOD for this experince, and that it will be a learning experince. I know that sounds odd but in order to receive GOD i belive every event must be from him and he deserves our thanks. Yes even the ones we don't understand or like. For there is a gift inside everything GOD gives us.
Remember I am praying for you.
Good Luck and GOD bless.

Spiritual emptiness?
Sometimes, during our serving or walks with the Lord, there are spiritual peaks when you feel so overwhelmed that you want to spread the joy to everyone you meet on the street.
When you don't experience your peak, you experience spiritual dryness. It is when you feel empty, lonely, lost, withdrawn or far away from God despite still doing the same things, or maybe even more.
These spiritual dryness are pretty normal. They can be spiritual tests/attacks from the evil one, or just pure dryness.
That is why God say - Come to Me. Our Lord is the fountain and water and will never run dry. Go to Him and you will never be thirsty. Remember the story about Jesus meeting the prostitute at the well? Jesus offered her eternal water where she will never run dry.
These are times that we will come to experience no matter if you are a preacher, a pastor or just a normal believer. Go to the Lord and have faith.

What you are feeling is common among the youth. Because
you have several questions for which priest had no answer. They asked you not to think. Because more you think, more you know that Christianity is no more the road to salvation.
God has sent thousands of prophets in every era. It is no more the era of Jesus Christ, because his original teachings have been replaced by mnay roman beliefs.
This is the era of prophet Muhammad, who is a continuation of Moses, John and Jesus. God is immortal, His prophets live for a limited period and then new prophets come. Unlike Christianity the original message of Prophet Muhammad is still intact. It is Quran, the living book. Read this book from cover to cover, with open heart. You will find answers to all your questions and the void in you will be filled with contentment and you will start receiving guidance from your
Creator.

A feeling of emptiness can mean anything, we all feel lost and alone in our calling at times and these times are meant to try us, to straighten us so we learn that when we turn to God He will guide us to greater devotion, suffering is a part of accepting that we human. Paul is great teacher on this, even Mother Teresa said she suffered from emptiness. The answer is turn to God with acts of penance and great devotion and the Lord JC will fill your heart.

I think this is just a temporary situation. Perhaps you are just reflecting on life. You are not questioning your faith and thats good although there will probably come a time when you will as most of us who are called by God do. Even Mother Terhesa had doubts sometimes. Hang in there and your conection will grow stronger. Peace unto you.

It's probably just a chemical imbalance in your brain. Have you been eating healthily? Sleeping a good 8 hours every night? Socializing enough? Don't get so wrapped up in the spiritual that you neglect the physical.

Have you talked with your doctor about this?
Feelings of emptiness can be symptoms of a couple of different things that your doctor might be able to help you with.
You should sit down with him/her and have a frank discussion.

Because you are over freaking thinking it.
Just live your life and stop being such a drama queen.
Do you know how much better off you are than 3/4 or the world?
