He's cute, but he's so goofy, like so socially awkward, although the "pretty" girls like him a lot...like he can chill with them without any awkwardness...
...but he just acts like ridiculous around me, just stares at me, but looks away and won't talk to me, but always STARING...never a time when we're not in the same vicinity that he's NOT staring...most people talk to me like a normal person, but he like gasps when he sees me...weirdo...

SO WHY AM I STARTING TO LIKE HIM?! Am I bored? Do I like him because he acts as if he likes me?

If you had someone you dearly love dying of cancer, You wouldn't want someone (like Jesus) to come along and save them from that? Are you even interested in knowing how that is achieved? Because I can tell you, Jesus has defeated cancer. But people who are not his friends are not heirs to his secrets and gifts.

Let's just assume for a minute that there is a higher power and She is a Goddess who is the living Universe. She is everything that exists, including you.

If that were true, how would it affect your view of the world? Of religion?

Have you ever seriously considered the possibility? Why or why not? Can you really say you've considered religion rationally if you haven't?

Seriously I am horrified. I have stayed away for about a week and this place is overrun with people hating and trying to destroy anything that resembles belief in God. We don't have to worry about the Golden Compass. We should just get ready for Jesus to come. Amen?

You call to complain about a service or to get your money back on something and you get a foriegn person speaking in what may or not be English. Do you think it is because they think you will get disgusted and just give up.

Is there any objection to sharing in celebrations that may have unchristian roots as long as it is not done for religious reasons?

Eph. 5:10, 11: “Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord; and quit sharing with them in the unfruitful works that belong to the darkness, but, rather, even be reproving them.”

2 Cor. 6:14-18: “What fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be′lial? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? . . . ‘“Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,” says Jehovah, “and quit touching the unclean thing”’; ‘“and I will take you in, . . . and you will be sons and daughters to me,” says Jehovah the Almighty

I seriously do not know what to get him. Almost every year I get him one of those sports video games. They cost about $40 for the ones that he likes. This year I can only spend about $20 per grandchild (I have 12).

He likes sports and he is a very sweet kid who will be grateful for anything that I give him. I just want to make sure he gets something he really wants. Is $20 acceptable these days?

I am agnostic, if you dont know what that is its a religion where you dont know if there is a god, im not an atheists THERES A DIFFERENCE. Is there really a god is my question because what proof is there about god?. A man just made a story of a person, how does that make it true. If god made the earth y is there a scientifical explanation to that " the big bang"?. And if god created the human y does science say that we came from monkeys in africa? If god is supposed to help people and make things better, why is there still killings and genocides? There is no proof that god or jesus was real, just a book made by a man

And I swallowed what they taught. It was rigid time of blind faith and doctrine. From an early age I knew I was different somehow, but I couldn't put it into words. I followed what was expected of me, and performed for the admiring crowd. That is until I couldn't do it anymore and had to follow my heart. I did so with trepidation caused from years of indoctrination, yet as I stepped forward into life I never abandoned my faith. I couldn't and can't. What I don't understand is why my faith has abandoned me? Rather, why has the teachers of doctrine made me an example when I live an examplory life?

I sincerely believe that G-d put me here not to test me, but rather to test others on how well they treat their fellow man.

Any mature thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Oh, and the cause of the conundrum is that I'm gay and in a 20+ year relationship that will last until death.

"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 10:34-39)

I've been a Christian for as long as I can remember. However, I have read Greek mythology for just as long. I really like the goddess, Athena. I used to tell myself the Greek gods were stories told by men, but isn't that the truth about Christianity, too?

I'm really thinking of becoming a follower of Athena. She is actually not that bad. I wouldn't be bound by so many restrictions then.
