Im in a same sex relationship,and have been for many years now (4). when i met my partner she was very inscure,although she isn't as bad now,it still raises it's ugly head. i have a ex who ive know for about 8 years now,we was only together a month or two,but became very good mates and that was it.My ex is married now,and we bothed moved on,but i still keep in touch with her daughter..My current partner hates this and recently made me delete the daughters number off my mobile..Im really confused though because my partner is in touch with her ex husband,she rings him twice a week, and he has also been to are house to stay for a few days while i was away..Altough i know she would never sleep with a man again he slept in are bedroom on the floor instead of the front room,i was away at the time,and only found out when i came back...She said it shouldn't bother me because she's gay,but i had to stop talking to my ex's daughter.It seems that it's one rule for me and one for her,wat do i do?

I've noticed a few Christians hang out here that tend to agree with us atheists on things more often than not. While I'm glad they aren't fundies, I can't help but wonder if they aren't bending their religion to suit whatever they want to believe. Any thoughts?

I am a little bored tonight so forgive a silly question.

If a new country was found ,total uninhabited and was found and claimed by and atheist who invited all athiests to move there , no religion allowed would you move there ?
Do you think it would be a better place to live ?
What would you name it?
Do you think the Christians or Muslims would leave you in peace ?

If it is your choice, isn't that "free will"? Don't many of you reject the idea of "free will"?

If I told you I’d seen a unicorn you would dismiss me as deluded.
If 50 independent people also said they’d seen one would you have the same reaction?

How about if millions of people in all parts of the worlds said they’d seen one? Does the number of people make any difference at all? It would in a court of law for instance.

You might assert that there is no scientific evidence that unicorns exist and that unless you see one personally you won’t accept they exist. But, in view of the number of people who claim to have seen one wouldn’t it be more intellectually honest to be agnostic about unicorns?

Please, Im asking a honest question and looking forward to a honest answer

Leviticus 11:7
And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.

Deuteronomy 14:8
The pig is also unclean; although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.

Isiah 65;6
who sit among the graves
and spend their nights keeping secret vigil;
who eat the flesh of pigs,
and whose pots hold broth of unclean meat;
who say, 'Keep away; don't come near me,
for I am too sacred for you!'
Such people are smoke in my nostrils,
a fire that keeps burning all day.

Like maybe a "mistheist": "one who has hatred and distrust of God"... (as in "misanthropist" ["one who has hatred and distrust of man"], or "misogynist" ["one who has hatred and distruct of woman"]) .

Or perhaps atheists should be relabeled as "miscristoists"... "the hatred and distrust of Christ".

Any constructive and creative suggestions that will accurately encapsulate their vitriolic and venomous hatred towards God, Christ and Christians that all of Christendom can use to finitely define this particular group?

I have been reading a few questions and looking at some of the answers on different countries Q&A and noticed a lot of countries hating on america or americans. I have done my share of traveling the world so I'm not bashing anyone's country, but I do wonder if people realized what they say. People say they don't like the American culture but are first in line at a concert, movie,or etc. They seem to not appreciate American history when in fact there wouldn't be electricity,air condition,heating,etc..if it wasn't for an American. And clearly if America pulled everything that had it's name on from every country(third world or not) a lot of people would lose jobs and be bored as hell. Even if you're not a fan of our country EVERYBODY does,listens,watch,or read something about someone or something that is American. So I really wish people would be more considerate and kind. Especially the Brits cause you're suppose to be our brother country.
