My room mate and I are two very different people. I don't party and often go to bed by midnight, whereas she will stay out most of the night. We worked through this issue though, and have never really had any disagreements or problems. We get along really well and talk to each other when we are both in the room, but we never really hang out together. I have grown to care about her quite a lot, and worry about her when I don't see her after a night out.

But last night she came back at about 3:30 with a guy. This was enough to wake me, since they were both presumably drunk and were very loud. I didn't really mind to much till they started having sex. I chose to get up and leave. I didn't go back till over an hour later because i was so disgusted.

Please don't think this is just because I am a prude. I have had my boyfriend over multiple times, but we manage to contain ourselves till she is gone.
She tried to say sorry this morning, but i'm upset and don't know what to say. What to do?

He can't be proven that's for sure. But do you believe in him just because he can't be disproven? Or because you think that he will send you to a place where the is fire and chaos and suffering till the end of time even though he loves you as his son.

Gennaro is in this country for only 6 months.

He walks to work 20 blocks every day

and passes a shoe store.

Each day he stops and looks in the window

to admire the Boccelli leather shoes.

He wants those shoes so much...

it's all he can think about.

After about 2 months he saves the price

of the shoes, $300, and purchases them.

Every Friday night the Italian community

holds a dance in the church basement.

Gennaro seizes this opportunity to wear

his new Boccelli leather shoes for the first time.

He asks Sophia to dance and

as they dance he asks her,

"Sophia, do you wear red panties tonight?"

Startled, Sophia replies,

"Yes, Gennaro, I do wear red panties tonight,

but how do you know?"

Gennaro answers,

"I see the reflection in my new

$300 Boccelli leather shoes.

How do you like them?"

Next he asks Rosa to dance,

and after a few minutes he asks,

"Rosa, do you wear white panties tonight?"

Rosa answers,

"Yes, Gennaro, I do,

but how do you know that?"

He replies,

"I see the reflection in my new

$300 Boccelli leather shoes.

How do you like them?"

Now as the evening is almost over

and the last song is being played,

Gennaro asks Carmela to dance.

Midway through the dance his face

turns red.

He states, "Carmela, be stilla my heart,

please, please tell me you wear no panties tonight,

please, please, tella me this is true!"

Carmela smiles coyly and answers,

"Yes Gennaro, I wear no panties tonight."

Gennaro gasps,

"Thanka God ..

I thought I had a CRACK in my

$300 Boccelli leather shoes!"

If you are concerned with the safety and well being of others, will you pray for the kids and those wounded in this mornings shooting at a Denver, CO camp for missionaries, or take a moment to think about this tragedy if you don't pray? Thank You ahead of time.

What is being parroted by them is the fanciful history of Loraine Boettner & Dave Hunt , leaders in the anti-Catholic movement. They are tragically misinformed.

Christians usually say the Bible is the Word of God. But the "Word of God" came to John in the desert........ and Jesus also spoke about the Word of God in the Parable of the Sower, long before the Bible came along. The Gospel Enigma website goes into great detail on this original Word of God, but I was wondering how YOU would explain this mysterious Word of God that came to John in the desert.

Do you think both Jesus and John had access to this word... and if so, what was it?

I hope to be awake and outside this Thursday night to watch the Geminid Meteor Shower. Does anyone else like to watch the 'falling stars'?

"What could be the best meteor display of the year will reach its peak on the night of Dec.13-14."

"The Geminids perform excellently in any year, but British meteor astronomer, Alastair McBeath, has categorized 2007 as a "great year."

It's one thing to use the word 'heart' as a metaphor for emotions (as in "I knew in my heart that it was wrong"). But something else entirely to treat this muscular pump as if it really were the core of one's 'spirit'.

The ancients believed that the heart was the centre of emotions. In fact it's a simple blood pump. It's a far less complex organ than the liver, and less connected to emotions than the adrenal glands.

Yet on R&S there's frequent talk of 'inviting Jesus into my heart' as if the real organ was involved. Someone here recently characterised abortion as 'stopping a beating heart' - as if that were significant in itself.

Seems to me that the actual organ whose characteristics people are referring to is the BRAIN. The brain is the seat of thought and emotion; of love, fear, joy, memory and everything else about us. The rest of the body is a life-support system for the brain, and the heart is just a pump in that mechanism.
