My father owned a rather important business worth several millions euros. I've always known my father as a very complicated man, easy going most of the time but sometimes finicky about food and the way servants would behave in front of guests. He is still spending rather freely with those he loves (several mistresses by the way !) but he is still an excellent business manager.
A few years ago, he let me buy the business. So, I guess I am now the kind of millionaire you are talking about, Philippe.
From my father I inherited (besides the huge amount of money he permitted me to earn) an easy going attitude regarding morals, I guess. I owe him to be a scientist as well as a business woman.
Compared to the many very rich people I know, my father is still the man I most admire and cherish.Francine.

I have known a fully blue-blood aristocrat: does it count ? He was not that rich anymore but he used to live in a falling apart castle he inherited from his ancestors. He had one of those very long names French aristocrats have. A funny guy with a funny way to talk. He was often referring to his famous ancestors who were really part of French History textbooks.

Yes, my 2nd cousin is very rich. He's a lawyer and a pretty nice fellow. He has a huge summer house on a lake in a resort area. He calls it a cabin, but it is actually a mini-mansion. Must be nice...
