He can't be proven that's for sure. But do you believe in him just because he can't be disproven? Or because you think that he will send you to a place where the is fire and chaos and suffering till the end of time even though he loves you as his son.

Does God exist?
Let me ask you another question. Does cold exist? Your answer would probably be "Yes, have you never been cold before?"
In fact cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.

Does darkness exist?
"Of course it does", would probably be your reply and once again you would be wrong. Darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present.

3rd question. Does evil exist? Your answer would probable be, "Yes, we see it every day, it is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."

Evil does not exist, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.

So, just because you can't prove God logically or scientifically does not mean He doesn't exist. I know He exists because I could not live without Him.

Most people believe in a "higher power" because humans are always looking for an explanation to every little thing. And this is prevalent in this case when people see things that can't be explained they put it as their God's doing. In one case yes people do believe in God do to the fact that he cannot be disproven but this is how religion was started if some sort of amazing event happend whether it was jsut plain dumb luck or a weird coincidence , they thanked their God. I believe in God solely due to this.

I don't believe in God because with a little research all of the various conceptions of a "God" can be easily disproven.

do you not believe in god just because he cant be proven or seen. but what the word of god says is blessed be those who believe and don't see. your question doesn't make sense...
are you one of those people who think "evolution" because they cant even prove the evolutionary theory when man came from ape. all they have is ape to man 'nothing else'...
you can't see the wind but you know its there
God created the heavens and the earth... the whole evolution theory is totally absurd a big bang and the world, planets were there, we evolved from single cells. nobody in there right mind can believe that and yet thousands actually believe that theory.
and god can be proven just visit www.wayofthemaster.com

and you can report my answer... as long as i got my point across...

I believe in God because I love Him. I can't explain this ineffable mystery which is the same as breathing to me. I don't exist without Him.

But I go through my daily life without bible thumping, though the bible is a good book to read. I don't proselytize. I don't drop to my knees in public to pray, nor utter touchy feely admonitions or balms. That's not my way.

I will silently pray for people when I think of it, like the hunch back lady I see every day, or for the people in my life fighting cancer. When you don't have an answer, why not opt for the positive?

Hell isn't the reason. Living is.

The absence of proof is proof of absence.

Or do you believe that pink unicorns fly around neighboring stars simply because it can't be disproven?

No, I believe in God because he is . God said I AM.

Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I believe in invisible pink unicorns. Prove they don't exist, eh? And they won't send me to the fire; they may trample me if I don't get out of the way, though. A deep theological question to ponder in this belief system: how does one know they're pink if they're invisible? :=D
