I do not believe in organized religion. I think the leaders of the churches origins are false and I simply can't justify supporting an organization that used fear, wars, torture, etc. to perpetuate a false claim of having a power they do not possess.

Churches are full of people that smile at you on Sunday and spit on your back during the week. They are places of fear and control and a place to "Keep up with the Jones'".
People go to church out of guilt and fear to prove to other church goers how Holy they are.
"Oh look at me, I am sooo righteous."
You trust the pastor/priest to care for your spiritual needs and he rapes your children for you in return.
Then you pay him for doing it.
Is that enough?

I used to go until the priest tried to grope me.
A better question would be why aren't the Yahoo Xtians at Church on this glorious SUNday?

Not me. I'm one of those shifty atheist types you hear about, the ones that don't believe in God and stuff.

I visit them for their history and architecture, but as an atheist I wouldn't go for services.
