Er, Babydoll - If you don't know what Muslims wear or look like perhaps you should not try answering my question, or (as is most likely) you're trying to be clever....but you're not.

I think it's sweet that people answer "No why would I get nervous" in that innocent manner and that "not all Muslims are terrorists" etc...but I don't beleive you that the thought doesn't cross your mind if you are in that situation. I haven't said once that all Muslims are terrorists, but like it or not the image of a muslim in full traditional muslim clothing to most people, if they're honest is, no matter how slight, intimidating. It's a bit like watching a horror film and then going out for a walk in the woods in the dark - you know there is no threat really but the idea is there from images you have already observed - can anyone really argue with that?

IT depends. Public Transportation is paid for by everyone, even fat people. Seats are not large because most people dont need them, but there are never any seats big enough for large people. I ride the subway and there are handicapped seats which state that they are to be given up to handicapped people. In 20 years I have rarely seen anyone give up a seat. On a two dollar bus ride, I can be generous. On a thousand dollar plane ride, maybe less so, but if it happens once or twice get over it, you'll live. And maybe the fat person will turn out to be a nice human being after all.

not under normal circumstances. Let me elaborate my answer. I dont feel threatened if a muslim person comes inside the same vehicle im in. I get nervous when i see them carry a massive baggage or something that looks like a guitar case of som kind. But its not just that, there was a time a muslim person came on the bus that i was in. He went to sit upstairs with a heavy baggage that looked somewhat like a guitar case and sat at the front part. After 3 minutes he started singing in his language! and continued on til he got off 15 mins later!! Now THAT was scary!

Absolutely!

Profiling is the only way to beat those crazies.

How else would you survive? The only way to know is when they blow up then it's too late. The muslims should police themselves and rid the world of this scourge.

Yes, to me, they are a scourge of this Earth!!!

No, but I have to say that the first time after 9/11 that I flew, I was very glad to find out that the burly, well-muscled, arab-looking man with the large leather satchel sitting next to me turned out to be a Canadian businessman :-).

Do you mean Arab-looking?

Muslim is a religious descriptor.

So, the answer would have to be "NO".

I would have to get nervous everytime I look in the mirror if you mean Muslim-looking because "they" look like every kind of person on Earth. There are Muslims in every "race".

NO. Just because someone looks Muslim doesn't mean they are or that they are all terrorists. People should stop assuming that just because one person of a certain religion, skin color or other background is a terrorist, they all are. Stop stereotyping. Not all are the same. It is not right to judge based on one persons actions or beliefs that they are all the same.

They only make me slightly nervous when they carry a knife between their teeth, have an eyepatch and smoke comes from their shoes.

Happy now? Glad to oblige.

A Muslim-looking person . . . you read too many cartoons.
