Please, Im asking a honest question and looking forward to a honest answer
Leviticus 11:7
And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.
Deuteronomy 14:8
The pig is also unclean; although it has a split hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.
Isiah 65;6
who sit among the graves
and spend their nights keeping secret vigil;
who eat the flesh of pigs,
and whose pots hold broth of unclean meat;
who say, 'Keep away; don't come near me,
for I am too sacred for you!'
Such people are smoke in my nostrils,
a fire that keeps burning all day.

Those verses were given to Israel, not to the church. Find a vers that says that in the NT and is written to Christians.
Mark 7:19 because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" (Thus He declared all foods clean.)
1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;

Because Christians do not know how to read their Bibles,
they think its okay to eat pork. Sanctified by the word & by
prayer does not mean you can pray over pork & make it
clean or sanctified by the word. THE WORD says do not
eat pig or even touch it. Peter's vision is talking about people,
not animals we eat. Call no man unclean. If the Torah does
not say its clean its unclean & not to be eaten. I have seen
quite a few people who eat so much pork they look like little/
big porkers.Its a well known fact that pigs do not eat the best
kinds of food, any rubbish will do. Also pig meat rots from the
inside out, so it may seem fine but rotten on the bone. Sounds dreadful & do not forget the worms, measles & foot
rot. The Word does not sanctify pork(bacon/ham/gammon.)

Hi, these quotations are from the old testament of the bible ie. the advice given was long, long ago, almost in ancient times.
Hygiene then was probably non existent and i guess God was instructing his people what food to avoid - in this case the pig, because though it has a split hoof like the cow and the horse (whose main food is grass), the pig eats rubbish.
In new testament times, i believe there was no such prohibition (i may be wrong here).

Christians with any appreciation for God's laws and words would be wise to avoid bacon. The laws of diets were given to the Israelites only. That being said, it is common sense that if He gave those laws for ultimate health, any Christian with even 1/2 a brain would be wise to follow. I follow the bible's diet laws 100%.

The primary danger from eating pork is trichinosis. Since we know how to eliminate the risk of that, by cooking pork thoroughly and maintaining meat quality standards, that makes it safe to eat. The reason for dietary laws, like the prohibition against eating pork and shellfish, was to protect people from possibly fatal illnesses whose causes were unknown during Biblical times and the time of Mohammed (peace be upon him).
I think the reason Christians have no prohibition against eating pork is because Christianity was a reform of Judaism. Jesus taught that an excessive amount of religious laws and rules got in the way of faith. He wanted people to see that manmade laws prohibiting what you could eat and who you could eat meals with were not God's law. Jesus taught that God's law was love, pure and simple. Following religious laws was not the way to attain union with God; loving God and loving your fellow man was the way.
I hope that helps!

In the book of Acts, the apostle Peter had a vision where God showed him that all people(including Gentiles) were acceptable to God and all foods were considered clean.
In the Old Testament God used physical rules to show people how to live clean/healthy lives - pigs, which are scavengers, were unhealthy to eat because of their eating habits. He also used physical pictures for spiritual ideas.
Some people thought that by keeping all the physical laws they could make themselves Holy and acceptable to God, which was not true - because He always showed them that the righteous man shall live by his faith in God.
The Christian religion is not demonstrated by keeping food rules or keeping religious rules. Christianity is demonstrated by faith in Jesus and love in our hearts that comes from God.
Over and over, God tried to teach mankind that He looks at the heart, not just the outward behavior. God wants us to have the internal changes of our heart that will cause good to flow out of us from love. He doesn't want good looking actions that cover up a cold, unloving heart( God hates religion that just looks for outward show.)

In Acts 10 God told Peter that no animal was any longer unclean. The OT laws on unclean animals were repealed at this point in the Church's history.

When Jesus died, these things were done away with. Jesus instilled a new and better law. The sacerficial law was a protection against diseases and to distinguish the Israelites from the pagan nations.
The sacerfical procedures and laws as above were ended.

Its because all of those have to do with the Jewish Law and are in the Old Testament. Christians believe that when Jesus came, the Old Law had served its purpose and the New Law(which was basically 2 commandments: Love your God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength & love your neighbor as yourself) replaced it.
Nothing about not eating pork in there.
