Seriously I am horrified. I have stayed away for about a week and this place is overrun with people hating and trying to destroy anything that resembles belief in God. We don't have to worry about the Golden Compass. We should just get ready for Jesus to come. Amen?

as a side note I'm not alarmed about the Golden Compass movie. What I find interesting is that people on this forum are trying to "get rid of God" and that is obvious to me.

Calm down. People have been trying to get rid of God(s) for centuries, and they've always come up against an army of zealous idiots to stop them. Numerically speaking, you've chosen the right side.

I'm not familiar with the Golden Compass, apart from what I've been hearing about in the news, but at any rate...what place, exactly? Do you mean Yahoo Answers or the world in general? Because either way, there are just as many people trying to shove God down everyone's throats. And if you're referring to Yahoo Answers...I think that on the off chance the bible does turn out to be true, Jesus would have more important places to worry about than some lame question and answer website. "The Middle East? Who cares about that?! Some shmuck on a random website just called me a doodie head!" And he smoteth upon them, and did click upon his report abuse button.

The way this world is going right now, there's no help for the world today. And I look forward to Jesus coming back. Then there will no more hatred, wars, misery, pain, and unhappiness. There will be only peace and everlasting life for the meek and righteous. I don't want that second death. Satan, his demons and hell will hurled into the Lake of Fire. We will have peace forever lasting......God Bless

zeal, what is wrong with you? Seriously. You don't seem to think with your brain. I'm really starting to think you're trolling just because everything you say is completely insane.

Are you so incapable of telling reality from fiction that you actually think a persons soul can exist outside their body in an animal form that you can talk with?

No one cares what you believe. Not at all. If you want to believe in your little fiction, then go ahead, but stop this insanity you keep spouting. Please.

Apparently, you haven't read or seen the Golden Compass. What you describe happens no where in that story.

Just who is trying to "destroy" your faith in god? We atheists don't care if you believe this clap-trap. Just don't shove it down our throats and up our hinder parts.

Edit - "What I find interesting is that people on this forum are trying to "get rid of God" and that is obvious to me." - How can anyone "get rid" of a being that NEVER EXISTED?

Once you take your beliefs out of the church and home, they are fair game. If you considered them important, you wouldn't throw them around.
